I downloaded the game, and whenever I start it, it just zooms in my computer screen and does nothing else, there's no taskbar shortcut shown, either. Is there a way around this problem? Another thread says to install Microsoft XNA framework (xnafx40_redist package) but this didn't work for me. I tried on a desktop with Windows 11/4070 ti super, and on a Lenovo Legion Go. The game changes the desktop resolution to like 800x600, then sits there forever until you close the game in Steam. I really wanted to revisit this game, it actually took me forever to find it in my library! Well, it took about 10 minutes of searching using tags and such. I got to Lauren and that's as far as I care to get to. I don't expect fun is this games goal, but if it is, then it is a pretty bad attempt. Chances are I'll return. Personally I really like this game but I don't think the life system used holds much of a place in modern gaming - sure it's how it was in games like the original mega man, but running out of lives at a boss and having to redo the whole area again just to get to him I find really frustrating. In particular that bit after the slime mech boss to get the boots..... What do you guys think?...
