Fun deck-building game. The story takes precedence over the battle mechanics. I'm not usually someone who plays games for the story, but here I enjoyed it. It never got annoying. The battle mechanics could be deeper and provide more of a challenge on medium difficulty, but overall it was a lot of fun and kept me hooked enough to play the game and all side quests.

Sooooooooo..... when's the sequel?

Charming, heartfelt, with a strategic depth that keeps you on your toes. Just finished my first playthrough and couldn’t help but fall in love with the cast and their relationships with each other. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem (besides one person on youtube I have not heard or read anything about this game), but I am glad I found it because I loved my time with it. The game play loop is quite addictive because neither the card battle sections or the the visual novel parts go on for too long. This game also features a large number of LGBT+ characters, so I hope people part of this community find this game. It is refreshing to see LGBT+ characters at the forefront of a game. Also, I would like to mention that some of the game's best moments are hidden behind optional content, so I highly recommend interacting with it.

And one stray thought to end: I feel like this game's vibes (besides the obvious Star Trek which I haven't really interacted with besides seeing a few episodes) is a mix between Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. (some crew missions reminded me of certain episodes of this show) and Legends of Tomorrow - from season 3 onward (this is the only other media I can recall with such predominant LGBT+ representation).

Such a an incredibly fun and enjoyable game! The story is great, the gameplay is addicting, and I can't recommend it enough. my only gripe is that it isn't longer, but what is here is well worth the cost.

This is a game with a lot of heart behind it, and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. The gameplay systems felt accessible to me as someone who had never played a card battler before, and even though the game wasn't very challenging (at least on normal difficulty), there were enough cool combos and builds to try that the battle system stayed fun for the duration of the campaign and all of the side content that was available on a single playthrough. I found that the story segments take up a lot more time than the card-battling gameplay, but that isn't a bad thing, since the characters are so likable and the mecha anime aesthetic is so fun. The game took me 22 hours while doing all of the side missions and optional conversations available to me. I would recommend engaging with any of the side content that seems interesting to you, as it contained a lot of the game's best moments, but you definitely don't need to do everything in order to have a worthwhile experience with the game. If you're interested enough in this game to be looking at it's store page, then I think it will be a purchase you won't regret.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this game. It's a lot of fun! I think what I like most about it is that the card game itself does have some depth, but it doesn't overwhelm you with it at the start. The game sort of eases you into its mechanics and then lets you customize how you want to build out your team and deck afterwards. You have 5 slots to deploy your characters and they each generate a certain amount of energy, can deal damage, and have other passives/mechanics associated with them. As you progress through the game, you are provided with choices in terms of additional characters or upgrades you want to add to your team. This aspect of choice is always greatly appreciated in games like this as it makes your playthrough feel more personalized. Additionally, you can accrue factional affinity with different groups depending on the MVPs in your team. The story and characters are also enjoyable.
