Kriegsfront Tactics - Prologue is the proof of concept for the upcoming procedural turn-based mecha tactics RPG set in alternate 1970s Southeast Asia. In this prologue chapter, you'll get to experience combat, exploration, and the opening story of the game.

New languages had been added to Kriegsfront Tactics - Prologue, become the commander and control your squad through victory!

Salute, Pilots!

We have great news just coming in. In the recent patch update for Kriegsfront Tactics - Prologue, a short vertical slice campaign which only available in English, we've expanded the language options for our pilots around the world. Now, more pilots can join the fight in different languages, making it easier to access the cockpit and enjoy the game.

Here's the new languages list that had been added to Kriegsfront Tactics - Prologue:

Spanish (EU)
French
German
Polish
Russian
Turkish
Brazilian Portuguese
Simplified Chinese
Japanese

When you boot up the Prologue, you'll be directly presented with all the current available languages.

While still in an active development cycle, we're excited to share future updates with new gameplay features as they become ready. Kriegsfront Tactics - Prologue

Harder than front mission

According to prologue after every fight we well have a choice to repair your mechs or to replenish ammunition. Kinda wanna play this game less with this chain ball on my leg. Cuz game is already harder than front mission even without this chain ball.

This game is giving me all the VOTOMS vibes that I love and it's an automatic wishlist.

Certainly beats the living ♥♥♥♥ outta the Front Mission "Remakes" (if you could even call 'em that).

This is a fun game. It reminds me of the "Front Mission" series.
I recommend the game.
AND, it shows "unknown" support for the Steam Deck.
Well....I have been playing it on the Deck with no issues.

Seeing as Square Enix is so focused in trampling what remains of Front Mission into the ground, it warms my heart to see the legacy of the once beloved series carried on in Kriegsfront Tactics - a game literally made by the fans, for the fans. It plays a lot like FM4, yet it's distinct enough to feel fresh and exciting. The fog of war alone adds a whole new tactical dimension. The mech customisation is currently lacking, and the game would benefit from more in-depth tutorials on the game mechanics, such as the effects of facing, but I'm sure the devs are actively working on refining the game. The writing is pretty good, with decent voice acting, and the general vibes are great. The music is a banger, the sound FX are crisp, and the visuals are pleasing. The animations - a major part of what made Front Mission series great way back when - are head and shoulders above what you'd see in FM remakes. Overall, a solid experience already, and definitely a day 1 purchase when the full release comes.

DEVs - Ideas and Suggestions

No matter how good the game is at launch, if history has shown us anything, it is the potential for mods that will extend the game's lifespan. Imagine a Warhammer 40k mod where the players control Titans and Knights, for example, or a Star Wars mod that has AT-STs & AT-ATs. Or imagine the obvious BT possibilities. Or maybe a Complete Overhaul and it become an XCOM (original or remake) variant. I dunno, gamers love all kinds of mods and you never really know precisely what niche your game engine will bes...

Heavy concerns

There really is no reason why the enemies get an Xcom style bonus move that undoes the point of the player doing careful positioning and it is pretty insane to then give them free overwatching as well. Who decided this was something to try out?... It encourages far slower movement to keep all your units attack ranges relevant because once an enemy squad is alerted the pointman will then be painted with several cones of overwatch and has to be brought out of it. This was triggering when my unit was also sup...
