First time I gave a KR Game a negative review.

Next time I won't buy a Kingdom Rush at launch. Sadly this game feels like its KR 4-2 ..and KR4 was already a big downgrade from the previous games.

This game is a disgrace to the entire franchise. Everyone who took part in it should be ashamed of themselves.

Let's cut to the chase: Two abilities for towers instead of three like in Vengeance, and even those are lazy, uncreative design. Half of them are just an extra slow effect/AoE damage for the regular attack. Bringing in a bunch of one-dimensional, flat heroes that nobody cares about, instead of bringing back fan favourites with untapped potential. Where's Lord Blackburn, Lord Malagar, all the previous dragons, any captured bosses from the previous games (like the Hyena queen from Origins) or O...

It is in moments like this that I wish Steam had a middle botton for if I recommend this game or not, while in concept one of the most insteresting in the series so far, it is still the same lenght as the other games and for a concept so ambicious such as this that is just not enough, which brings me to my next point, the price. it has the same exact amount of content as the other games excluding post campaign extra levels, same amount of campaign stages, of heroes and same amount of towers as Vengeance, yet it costs almost 20 euro, now to some people the price is not that important but my point is that keeping the same amount of content and making the games look better is not enough to double the price of the games. So if you are new to this series of TD games and dont already have all of the previous installments, buy them and come back to this when its on sale... it really is painful to me to see developers that have a lot of talent in making games like this that became to many people huge classics go down this path of greed and dont get me wrong I still love these games but some painful facts just have ro be pointed out.

More of the same.

It's a great series, but this might be the weakest installment so far.

Story is meh, stages are limited, hero selection is below average (I've found the gryphon guy best, along with Anya, the musketeer vampire), and so are the towers. A couple fresh ideas, but nothing ground-breaking.

But it's Kingdom Rush, a tried and true formula, and their graphics and sound teams are really good.

Value for price? Eeeeh, I'd get it on a discount.

But do get it, it's 10 hours of good fun still.

What Alliance should have been

First I want to talk a bit about the game. Kingdom Rush Alliance isn't a bad game at all. It was enjoyable enough while I played it, and once the game was done I forgot all about it. It didn't stay with me like the first three KR games did. The much promoted feature of having two heroes doesn't really do much for the game. Hello, General! How's the spooky season going for you?

Today, we have a truly magical guest—one of the newest and most enchanting members of the Alliance Ranks. Yes, I’m talking about the pumpkin spice latte lover, Stregi, the unmistakably tiny gnome witch.

Sheepy: “Should I be worried about turning into a frog during this interview?”

Stregi: “A frog? Oh, please! Those are so last season! I’m thinking... pumpkins! Or maybe just a few extra whiskers. Care to find out?”

Sheepy: (laughs nervously) “I think I’ll pass on the whiskers, thanks! How about you tell me why you joined the Alliance instead?”

Stregi: “Let’s just say things got a little too serious when Navira and his undead army started marching through our forest. I grew up on tales of Razz, learning that even the tiniest gnomes can pack a punch, so I pulled out a few tricks of my own to protect our home!”

One of Stregi’s approached Sheepy, rubbing against their legs with a soft purr.

Sheepy: “Aww, so cute! These cats you summon... where did they come from?”

Stregi: “I found them as kittens, abandoned deep in the Faery Forest. Most thought they were too wild to handle, but I saw something special in them. They’re like me—powerful, a bit misunderstood. So, I raised them as my familiars, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.”

Sheepy: “You said your're misunderstood. How so?"

Stregi: “Oh, where to start? Outsiders see me pulling pranks and panic—‘stay away from her!’ My gnome friends share in the fun, but when it comes time to defend the forest, they get all nervous. Gnomes like peace, but sometimes you need a bit of sparkle to deal with real threats! I just like to do things my way!”

As I thanked Stregi for her time and turned to leave, I felt a tingle on my head. Reaching up... I had... cat ears?! I spun around, and Stregi chuckled. With a flick of her wand and a few sparks, the ears vanished. “Just harmless fun, Sheepy!” .

Looks like the Alliance is getting more colorful by the day!Who knows what manner of amazing heroes will join us next?

Its October 3rd already and 1PM where i live and still no update. Nevermind, update got out.
