Demo Overhaul Release

Remember when we released the roadmap back in January and promised this?

Well, we're here to deliver! Starting today, the new GUG demo is available for everyone to play around in. Try to make the most overpowered gug or simply watch as your combo of 20 effects unfolds to rewrite the entire layout of the battlefield. Oh, and don't forget to stop by the potion shop to prepare your gugs for any eventuality they may face...

For those more experienced in the art of gugging, we've got some W I L D things in store! If you've got a gug that just needs sharin', come join us on Discord in the link down below.

Game takes up constatntly increasing space

While playing the game eats up storage space on C: (even when not on C:), gets cleared after closing game. This increses very quckly, taking up 5gb in a few minutes. edit: actually even after a few seconds upon opening the game. The game also only works every second time it's started....

Demo Overhaul & Full Game Release Date

Hey folks,

We know many of you are eagerly anticipating the release of the game, so I'm happy to report that we now have a concrete release date: August 12th 2025! To ease the crushing despair of having to wait a few extra weeks to play the full game, here's something to scratch your itch:

We're releasing a brand new demo on June 30th, rebuilt from the ground up featuring our Nomic engine, with updated visuals and a new biome.

We post updates more frequently on our Discord, link down at the bottom.

Here you go, finally a little more info on when the full release of GUG will drop and what we have in store for you. Not everything that will be in the full release is listed here, but these are some of the major parts that are getting the overhaul treatment.

And now that we’ve wrapped up the work on the demo (for the time being) here are some cool demo stats to satiate your gug buds:

Enemies during shop

Just had some 1/1 enemies show up in all shop slots. they dealt and took damage instead of being bought, had no price listed, and killed one of my gugs that was supposed be immortal. :(

I've been getting transcend errors about 90% of the time. I've found that it's super likely if there's more than 1 word

List your most interesting Gugs!

"saddam hussein" is a targetted instant-kill gug on enter. Oddly suitable. "mtg edh" makes a gug that draws cards! It... Draws a card! Idk if it does anything else. "china is not taiwan" makes a cultured and powerful gug that is prone to frying itself.
