Happy Holidays everyone! We're pleased to announce the Winter Update, 'tis the season.

Without further ado, here's the meat and potatoes of the update - two new ghosts have arrived, the Morozko and the Skinwalker!

Introducing the Morozko, chilling!
"A spirit of frost from Slovic folklore that becomes extremely aggressive if the environment is cold enough - a prospect that is only a matter of time, as reports indicate that the Morozko freezes an area faster than any other ghost."

Not to be mistaken for a Wendigo folks, here's the Skinwalker!
"A malevolent spirit from Native American legend, the Skinwalker is one of the most dangerous ghosts an investigator can encounter. Aggressive and cunning, rumors say that they can mimic behaviors typically reserved for other ghosts."

We're bringing some new features to the lobby, most notable of which is a new room you can unlock! What secrets could lie beyond? More importantly, how many more cats would the room hold?

Also in this update: there's a plethora of new spooks to see which we'll let you discover yourself, as well as a slew of bug fixes and quality of life improvements.

Happy Halloween ghost hunters!

It's been a wild ride releasing on the 22nd and seeing a tide of new players get their hands on the retail game, experiencing the Theater Church and School maps for the first time. We appreciate everyone's support, streams and reviews - every bit helps us to make BITN the best it can be!

We've been hard at work since the 22nd to fix bugs, incorporate feedback and add more features, more ghostly shenanigans, and of course more cats for your office.

In other exciting news, we saw our first 5k+ stream of the game! Bob and Susan handled the flood of chat commands surprisingly well in Democracy mode, and as for the printer in the lobby, well...
Now that we've released BITN to early access, the road to full release begins! We're crafting a detailed roadmap for you all to check out but in general you can look forward to new events, new maps, more interactions with Bob and Susan, and more minigames on the lobby's PC!

Here's some of the updates we've put out in the past two weeks!

• Two new difficulty modes, Hell and Impossible
  
• Added more rescuable cats to the office, one of which is named after Chelvie our first player to beat Impossible difficulty!
  
• Fix Twitch integration Democracy mode on the School map
  
• Fix Twitch integration Idle Democracy and Idle Anarchy modes, now working as intended
  
• Prevent Bob from wandering off too far off the beaten track around the Gym on the School map
  
• New command, !channel {1-4} {roomName}. Directly sets a CCTV to a room by name!
  
• Bob and Susan should move fully into the HQ when you ask them to come back, on the Theater map
  
• Ghosts can blow out the candles you purchase, not just the default one
  
• Added weather effects and events to the School map
  
• Added sound cues to one of our more stealthy lethal events to make it a little more detectable
  
• Ghost of a Chance minigame on your lobby's PC has had a massive update! New perks, new waves, balancing updates, health pickups and exp collection pickups that can now drop from enemies
  
• To prevent confusion, no longer auto-select NPCs when giving them an item
  
• "Gameplay" tab in Settings menu is now the "Integrations" tab, with twitch auth button moved to the top
  
• Fix issue on the Lobby PC where the video player was non-closeable
  
• Bob and Susan should move fully into the HQ when you ask them to come back, on the Theater map
  
• Fixed some spook events that should give photo credit that were not
  
• Entryway for the School map should now be a valid target for voice and Twitch commands
  
• Crosses should guarantee immunity against all lethal events now (once)
  
• Nerf the radius that candles and flashlight can destroy [Redacted]
  
• Reduce the distance at which flashlights and your camera should be impacted by wall collision
  
• Balanced some events that were happening too rarely or too often
  
• Theater is now the 2nd map in the map progression, School is now the 3rd
  
• Reduced item prices. Candles are now $25, salt and crosses are $50
  
• Item shop UI overhaul / quality of life improvements
  
• Add "come back" command
  
• Fix Ghost of a Chance minigame crash to desktop bug
  
• Bathroom 1 and Bathroom 2 on Theater map should now properly recognize placed EMF being in them
  
• Fixed various place locations for items across the four maps

July has come and gone, and we wanted to share some of what we've been tinkering on during that time!

The school map is rapidly becoming one of our favorite haunts, here's a sneak peak:
On another note - if you like Survivorlikes, we recommend trying out the "Ghost of a Chance" app now on your computer in the lobby!
We've made some balance and quality of life updates to the game as well.

First off, we figured it's time to reward the players that keep Bob and Susan alive for a change. Hey, they're still expendable but you'll end with a little more cash if one or both of them survive.
There's a new feedback form as well! We appreciate all thoughts and suggestions :)
Additional fixes and QoL updates include:

• Fixed a bug that can occur with screen resolution settings on first startup.
  
• Fixed placement of some evidence items (IE: EMF detector) in certain rooms.
  
• Fixed a bug where multiple subtitles would appear for one voice line.
  
• Limited Bob and Susan reacting to a photo taken of them to one reaction per photo.
  
• When ordering Bob or Susan to place an item in a room, if no item is equipped it will now default to the move command.

Hello ghost hunters,

Development continues apace! We've continued to build out the church map - as you can see, the hiding closet on this map is a bit different ;)
Rooms are fleshed out, buildings are built, now it's just a matter of filling out the level with a ton of events and scares (some of which are unique to the church!).

Aside from the church, more events and scares have been added to the first map alongside a few secret features for the lobby, a new optional brightness slider step during the tutorial, more recognized voice commands, etc. There's a bunch of improvements going into the demo so don't fear that the church is taking up all of our development resources.

We'll be announcing the third map theme soon, thank you all for your continued support!

Greetings ghost hunters! Here's what we've been up to with the last few mini-patches:

• Added a few fun features to the Idle Game on the Lobby's PC.
  
• Fixed some controller support issues for the Lobby's PC apps.
  
• Fixed bugs with the flashlight / camera entering a stuck state.
  
• Twitch Integration and voice commands saw some additions and fixes. Should work more consistently now when commanding individual investigators such as "Bob move hallway" or "Susan place living room".
  
• Candle equipment is now tracked on the whiteboard as the other equipment items are.
  
• Trasgo's have been observed doing more [Redacted]
  
• Ectophages have a more interesting unique ability now
  
• Bob and Susan will now do their own spirit box sessions randomly if holding one, without needing explicit player permission all the time.
  
• New voice lines and interactivity for both Bob and Susan.
  
• The bedroom door now opens in the opposite direction, in response to feedback.
  
• CCTVs now show the room they're set to.
  
• Bob and Susan will give brief explanations of items given to them if you're in the middle of the tutorial.
  
• Fix the Failed Mission stat.
  
• More Spookz.
  
• Removed Chuckles.

We've rolled out our demo, and the turnout has been incredibly gratifying! Thank you everyone who's tried it out, it's been a blast seeing Let's Plays pop up on Youtube and Twitch alike.

A new patch has been deployed in the interim, thanks in part to the community's feedback, bug reports and ideas:

1. Improved Bob and Susan's pathfinding to reduce incidences of them fighting over the same doorway.
   
2. Fixed a bug during the tutorial where skipping steps could softlock it.
   
3. Moved some tutorial indicators for better clarity
   
4. Clicking the smaller icons for the NPCs on the whiteboard to select them will now satisfy the "Select an NPC" step of the tutorial (previously it was only the larger portraits).
   
5. Added more rescue-able cats to the Lobby.
   
6. Changed the spirit box slightly to better signal that the voices from it are spirit box evidence, now accompanied by short static sounds.
   
7. Prevent spirit box evidence being given before the mission starts.
   
8. We now remind players to start the mission if they try to give orders to Bob and/or Susan before the door has been opened, to avoid confusion.
   
9. Adjusted some place item locations to avoid cases where things could be placed under the floor or too high.
   
10. Added an auth flow to the Twitch integration that vastly simplifies it for the user (now at the click of a button).
    
11. Fixed the scroll wheel for the microphone input dropdown.
    
12. The ghost no longer automatically opens doors when moving through them, but has a small chance to.
    
13. Added additional NPC reactivity.
    
14. Added more spooks (you'll have to find out for yourself).
    
15. Removed Chuckles.

Hey all, we've been pretty laser-focused on building the Church map and getting the Steam demo polished but wanted to show off some of what's coming soon! Also - be on the lookout for some new Shadow behaviors 😉 keep those lights on.

We submitted the demo for review today with steam and are awaiting feedback/acceptance

We are well under way and are starting to go through the process of lighting the scene.
