the game would really benefit from having a smaller amount of crafted and designed zones instead of tons of randomly generated ones. the style is cool (especially the character scenes) however the dungeon wandering itself is so lackluster stylistically and gameplaystically that it makes getting to the cooler stuff an absolute chore. most locations are not that impressive visually, they are just kinda cool, and the stylistic contrast between locations that makes games like lsd dream emulator and yume nikki stand out is not really there. what good is the constant teleporting between worlds if the worlds are so similar to eachother... also the render distance being a bit further would be much better, especially for more open locations where it would be cool to see something weird in the distance.

An extraordinarily lovely game. People who compare it to LSD Dream Emulator and Yume Nikki don't quite do it justice imo.

While the surrealism and slightly headache inducing nature of the game's reality are definitely very similar to other "walking simulators" I've played, there is a direction to the story of Disillusion ST, unifying themes, developed characters, and great writing intwined intimately within the chaos, which grants the game a more concrete and affecting plot than any other surrealist game, perhaps surrealist story, I've experienced.

The transition of seeing the game as a bunch of strange set pieces and isolated events into an interconnected community of people, many of whom express very real emotion and love for each other and for you had me
hooked from start to finish, and builds towards an extremely satisfying conclusion to an already great game.
