Regarding the picture of the Wilson kids, Gem seemed to be older than Zac to me. I therefore had her and Zac as college kids, with Jason in K-12. I used the hint system and it said that it was clear that Zac was the oldest from the photo, so I swapped them and cleared it, but at the very least it seemed somewhat ambiguous. Was there another clue somewhere to which one was older that I missed, or was I supposed to know just from the heights? ...

I like games like this! I've very much enjoyed Obra Dinn, Outer Wilds and Golden Idol. Are there other mysteries you could recommend for me? I played Shadows Of Doubt, but I want to stress that I want a bespoke experience. No random generation.

As an LGBT person, I found that "gay people exist!" to be a really insulting "plot twist.' Also, IT'S NOT A TWIST! I guessed what was in that envelope the second the term "confirmed bachelor" came up. That only meant one thing back then, kids. Also, it's 1998 in this game, using the word "spouse" on a family tree to talk about gay relationships is incredibly anachronistic. I don't know about anyone else, but I really thrived off of the main game and had an amazing time. I was even able to do it without any hints or guides. The follow up game, Roottree Mania, however is so damn hard. Am I just being dumb? I've already had to look up a guide and after seeing what I was supposed to search, it didn't make me feel like an idiot for not realising what I was meant to do, I just felt a bit cheated.
