In case you are a fan of Roguelite Survivors-like FPS games, or you enjoyed playing our Bloodshed demo over the last weeks, we have some good news for you to share today:

Mouse Y axis invert option requested

There are plenty of people like me who grew up with a different mouse controls system (imagine a flight simulator and pulling the mouse to go up like you would with the actual controls in a plane - except the plane goes down). Without this option, this game is unplayable to me and others like me. I'd love to try the game longer, and I probably would buy it just based on what I've seen so far - if this setting was ever added. I know, there'll be plenty of people scolding me for this - just keep your crit...

Happy Friday, folks!

It's been almost exactly a month since we announced Bloodshed together with the launch of the playable demo. And a lot has happened since then, I can tell you that! So, where do I begin ...

Probably with this: we are super happy with the feedback we have received from all of you! By now, over 14k players have played our demo (🤯), and many of you have also filled out the online survey[forms.office.com] or given us feedback in the Community Hub or on Discord[discord.com].

Thank you all very much for your support! ❤️

We have received tons of good and constructive feedback. And we're reading through, and listening to it all, and working hard to find solutions to make Bloodshed the best Roguelite Survivors FPS experience possible.

We will shortly be talking in more detail about the feedback and criticism we have received and how we intend to optimise these points. Stay tuned!

🔥 Play our Bloodshed Demo as Part of the Steam Next Fest!

Happy Steam Next Fest kick-off day, friends!

Once again, it's about time for the fabulous Steam Next Fest! Until October 21 an endlessly large number of demos are live here on Steam, connected to hundreds of streams, developer specials, and much more. Exciting times for sure, and you definitely don't want to miss out!

Bloodshed is part of the Next Fest circus as well! Our demo includes:

2 playable characters
1 map
7 passive abilities (5 of which must be unlocked)
5 active abilities (3 of which must be unlocked)
10 different weapons (5 of which must be unlocked)
2 unlockable extra features
and 3 global upgrades

Love the demo! A few notes from a software QA

I loved the demo and can't wait for more! Would you consider the following: 1) When auto shoot is active, the button for shooting is unused. Could you make the button hold fire so you can aim at a target without shooting? Auto shoot makes single shot weapons like the rocket launcher nearly useless. 2) The infernal skull skill trivializes the game. At max level, it wipes out large groups before you can even see the enemies....

Stat explanations

Hopefully this is already expanded on in the complete build, and I should have included this in the survey, but stats could really use explanation. Many are pretty straight forward, some less so. Like, what the heck does Vigilance do? Is Ascend just jump height? What is Bloodthirst? etc. I'm guessing Peril is similar to VS's "Curse" stat that increases the difficulty....

Is there no reason to upgrade more than one weapon?

I played a few rounds and had fun but it seemed like there was pretty much zero reason to upgrade anything other than a single weapon, since you can only fire one at a time. Which means when you get a chest and it upgrades your melee, it's a bit of a disappointment. I think it's something that should be looked at. Enjoyed the demo overall but I think that and the low difficulty are the biggest issues with the game for me at the moment....

FEEDBACK: EXP Collection Radius

Simply put: I think it's too short. I think it's fine if you want to make the player physically move to collect the XP that enemies drop, and/or if you want to introduce a Collection Radius upgrade down the line, But right now, the radius is so narrow that by the time you scurry around to pick up the last xp orbs the enemies dropped, you've already scattered more in the same place. This can kind of compound and result in the player being incentivized to stay in one place to pick up all the xp that's drop...
