Delverium has not yet received an official Steam Deck compatibility review, but we have worked hard to ensure Delverium provides a solid Steam Deck experience.

A new Delverium playtest is scheduled for 12am Friday 13th December through to 12am Monday 23rd December 2024 (Pacific Time)!

The new playtest contains a mix of previous feedback changes, additional content, bug fixes and various other improvements. We need and value everyone's feedback, so please join us again and let us know your thoughts!

Playtest Goals:

• Gather feedback on the core controls, mechanics and early-game content
  
• Allow playtesters to help influence the long term direction of Delverium

What is in the Playtest Build:

• Core early-game loops and progression
  
• A few hours of early-game content
  
• Building, farming, mining, crafting and combat mechanics
  
• Local split-screen co-op (online multiplayer is still in development)
  
• Steam Deck support

Please Note:

• Playtest codes will be emailed out to our email subscribers when the playtest starts
  
• Playtest codes will be revoked after the playtest ends
  
• Save games will not be compatible with future playtest builds

Please keep in mind this is still an early build so expect a few bugs and some missing content /features. Getting Delverium right is super important to us, so we want to involve our community early to help us make Delverium something truly special!

Thank you so much to everyone who took part in our first Steam Playtest! It has been very rewarding to see so many players enjoying our early playtest build and letting us know their thoughts and criticisms. We have incorporated many of the highest priority feedback items and requests into our roadmap for the next few months. Thank you again for all of the valuable feedback we received!

Roadmap:

Control Improvements (In progress):

• Add the ability to attack, move, interact and build while the inventory menu is open
  
• Building/Placement previews
  
• Implement missing QoL inventory management features

Combat Improvements:

• Improve weapon attack hits and knockbacks
  
• Improve enemy lunges and attack telegraphs
  
• Add player hit/damage feedback
  
• Rebalance weapon and enemy damage

NPCs:

• Don’t stop on doorways/gates
  
• Move out of the way of player building/placement
  
• Enter buildings at night
  
• Attack nearby enemies
  
• More dialog, shop and quest options

Animals and Farming:

• Sheep!
  
• Prevent immature crops from being destroyed by player weapons
  
• Watered soil visuals

For now it is full steam ahead on our roadmap and working towards our next Playtest build. While we don’t have a firm date for our next Playtest just yet, rest assured we will announce it to our email subscribers, Steam page and socials as soon as we can.

We are excited to announce our very first Steam Playtest will run from Midnight 12th August to Midnight 18th August 2024 (Pacific Time)! This is a very early build to evaluate the performance and core mechanics of Delverium, so please take a moment to read the following information before deciding if you want to take part.

Playtest Goals:

• Confirm Delverium runs smoothly on a range of different PC’s
  
• Gather feedback on the core controls, mechanics and early-game content
  
• Allow playtesters to help influence the long term direction of Delverium

What is in the Playtest Build:

• Core early-game loops and progression
  
• A few hours of early-game content
  
• Building, farming, mining, crafting and combat mechanics
  
• Woodlands, forests, swamps and dungeon biomes
  
• Early-game enemies, resources and items
  
• Bugs. Probably lots of bugs

What is missing from the Playtest Build:

• Significantly more content and features
  
• Online multiplayer, fishing and cosmetics
  
• Deeper NPC behaviour and interactions
  
• Tutorials, quests and high-level guidance
  
• Game lore
  
• Localisation
  
• Additional polish, bug fixes and improvements

Please Note:

• Playtest codes will be revoked after the playtest ends
  
• Save games will not be compatible with future playtest builds
  
• This is an early build, please do not share any content online

In a nutshell, this is a very early playtest build so please don’t expect a polished final product or depth of content at this stage. We are certainly a little anxious about sharing it, but getting the fundamentals right is important to us, and including our community as early as possible will help make Delverium great.
