I can get the game to run through the character selection screen, but then it plays the aaaaAAAaaaa song and quits. I'm super new to windows OS, so any help is appreciated even if it seems obvious.

Since Tale of Tales seems to be going back to developing games with The Endless Forest: Second Decade on the Unreal Engine and a separate VR experience, maybe they can give The Path the same treatment since it's their most well known and highly acclaimed game. i bought the game a few days ago and whenever i choose a craracter the tale of tales screen pos up and i get kicked out of the game, i tried everything and i have no idea if this is even fixable. Can anyone help me?

Watching a commentary on this game I've learned that apparently the game's forest would've been more linear, and most importantly, that the game would've been a survival horror game, rather the just atmosphere horror with no real gameplay danger in the woods.
