New patch 0.1.48 is out adding 2 new heroes and Cinderella's tale!

New:

New attack/hp/gold/mana icons in text (turn off with the "Low Animation Mode" setting)
Profile: Favourite heroes now also show pick percentage
Added a keyboard shortcut setting for showing/hiding treasure select.
New "Distortion" animation for flames/magic on some cards (turn off with the "Low Animation Mode" setting)
New keyword: Odyssey X: My Quest can be repeated. When you complete my Quest, increase the goal by X.
Reworded repeating quests to include the Odyssey keyword.
New keyword: Unstable X: If I was transformed into, I transform back into the last character I was without Unstable after X fight(s).
Reworded Unstable Transformation: Turn a character into a surprise character 1 level higher and give them Unstable 1. Refund the mana cost.
New hero: Vizir Jafar. Once per roll, when you buy a spell, 1 copy of that spell appears in your shop. The copy costs +1 gold.
New hero: Brave Cricket. If you spent mana this turn, your shops sell 1 additional item. Starting on level 3, your shops sell 1 additional character 1 level below your current level.
New character: King Triton. 15/10 Level 6 Good Royal Monster. Iron Will. Entrance: Give my row Moonlight 5 for each Royal Monster on your board. Aura: Increase the damage of your combat spells by 50% of my Moonlight and your Royal Monsters have "On Attack: Cast Great Wave".
New treasure: Atlantis. Level 2. Your Monsters are Royals and your Royals are Monsters.
New item: Mosquito. 1/1 Level 4, 3 gold. I have +2/1 for every time you took damage this game.

(Cinderella's story)
New keyword: Whimsy X/Y: Aura: I have +X/Y for each character you transformed this game.
New character: Cinderella. 1/3 Level 2 Good Farmer. When you cast Unstable Transformation on me, I transform into Princess Ella. When I transform back, add my Glass Slipper to the shop. Quest: Find my Prince Charming.
New item: Glass Slipper. 1/1 Level 2, 0 gold. (can't be found in shop) Only Prince Charming can hold me. Whimsy 1/0. When you transform into Princess Ella, remove Unstable from her.
New character: Prince Charming: 5/4 Level 3 Good Royal (increased shop weight). Hidden: You have Princess Ella. Quest: I have the Glass Slipper and find the owner of it.
New character: Princess Ella. 2/2 Level 3 Good Royal. (can't be found in shop). Whimsy 1/1.
New treasure: Bippity Boppity Ballgown. Level 2. Your first shop each round sells an extra Unstable Transformation. I always appear from Cinderella's Quest.
New character: Fairy Godmother. 7/7 Level 5 Good Fairy. Ranged. Whimsy +1/0. Entrance: Next turn, your shop always contains an extra Unstable Transformation.
New treasure: Godmother's Wand. Level 3. Unstable Transformations last 1 turn longer. I appear as an extra choice when you triple Fairy Godmother.
New character: Pumpkin Carriage. 10/10 Level 6 Neutral Plant. Hidden: You have transformed 6 characters this game or have Fairy Godmother. Whimsy 2/2. Entrance: Give Unstable characters in my row 25% of my starting stats for the fight.
Wayward Sisters added: My ability can increase Whimsy by at most 1.

(Armored egg rework)
Armored Egg changed to: 7/3 level 2 Good Egg. After dying once, I turn into Egg Shells.
New character: Egg Shells. 2/1 Level 2 Neutral Egg (not found in shops). No Ability.
New treasure: To make an Omelet... Level 2. You can only get me from tripling Egg Shells. Your shops sell an extra Fried Egg.

Back Protector changed to: If there are other characters in my row, block damage against characters behind me and instead evenly ^ßspread 100% of the damage to your other characters in my row.
Funny Charm: Level 3 -> 4, 5/2 -> 6/3, added +2/1 to the buff in addition to the summoning buff.
Tinkerbell Quest changed to: Buy characters with a total shop buff of 70.
Vendi: Moonbathing Slay +2/1 -> +1/1
Corgi: changed Sunbathing to: Sunbathing Walk 5: I additionally receive +50% stats during combat.
The Brave Little Tailor added: I cannot trigger Slay.
Lancelot: Quest goal 100 -> 200 and increase 900 -> 800.
Sagi: 150% -> 100%
Broker's Brooch added: Maximum 3 times per round.
Symbol of Unity changed to: Your Aura abilities consider your characters to be Good, Evil, Holy and Monsters.
Unstable Transformation: Costs 1 gold more for each copy you cast this turn.

Fixes:
Greatly reduced internet usage if backend/frontend agree
Fixing rerolling a level 8 treasure resulting in level 7 treasure choices
Fixing Quest numbers >1000: now show shorter as e.g. 1.2k (big Lancelot numbers)
The Rock: Dying Breath not being needed for ties
Tomorrow's Trader Moonbathing now correctly resets after a turn
Fixed Yuk Sunbathing at 0 gold with Entrance preview would crash the game
Fixed Percival in the hand not increasing treasure level of Quests completed in fights
Fixed treasures after a fight showing 2 appear animations
Fixed Pig Entrepreneur showing only 2 gold on game start
Fixed highscore achievements not being claimable after a game

Game randomly slowing down?

Heya. Anyone else have this issue that the game randomly slows while fights happen? Since a few days this happens to me constantly. Like the fight starts, then a few of the attacks happen in slow-motion then it speeds up again and later its suddenly slow motion again....

lost over 300 rank points overnight

last night when I went to bed I had 3330 shields (expert narrator) but when I tried to play today I only had 3000. My last game I played I got first so I know I should have had some.

Removing the 1 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was a huge mistake

It may seem minor but early game when you want to position yourself it makes everything way more luck based. They should really put back the one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. That or start you off with 3 gold instead of 2. Any thoughts am I just way out of line and there's some major reason to add this limit that is better for gameplay?...

New hotfix 0.1.47_b7 is out :)

Fixes:
- Fixed Odette slaying causing long error message and Tie visual for the opponent.
- Fixed Wayward Sisters + Odette slaying casting on the whole shop.
- Locking a quest character with free shop slots being able to show an additional copy of a quest character.
- Fixed Lizard recruiter not respecting Hidden characters.
- Fixed profile being unresponsive
- Fixed Adventurer sometimes losing the charge on ties
- Fixed Tick-Tock Croc showing a Quest complete on any unit death
- Fixed Snow White ignoring the increased quest goal for items
- Doppel diamond now correctly copies the Quest progress & goal from repeating quests.

The Monthly Tournament is happening next week 26th October, Saturday 15:00 UTC. On the 27th, Sunday, 15:15 UTC there will be a day 2 cast by MooMalow and th3six4ninja :)

The patch adds a Quest comp and a new Keyword "Hidden" to prevent useless cards from showing up in your shop.

New:

Reduced round timer slightly. Old: 40s + 10s every round up to 130s -> 40s + 7s every round up to 110s.
In-game achievements (not Steam achievements) - claim achievements for titles, extra crystals and to progress your achievement level!
After a game you can see your achievement progress from that game
Characters summoning another character now show the character art and description (e.g. Sleeping cat shows Cat)
Characters mentioning a spell now show the spell art and description (e.g. Baker Rat shows Free Roll)
Added more profile customization: Favourite heroes, favourite characters, favourite titles.
For each hero you can see your number of games and average placement over all game modes for this patch except 1v1 (would shift the average placement too much)
You can click on other people's profiles (e.g. in leaderboard, in lobbies) to see their full profile
New increasing daily rewards.
changed how Sunbathing works: Sunbathing now also activates the moment Sunlight is on the slot. This means that 2 adjacent Sunflowers now work together or Adventuring Husky + Selene works.
New keyword: Hidden: I only appear in the shop if your current board fulfills this condition.
New keyword: On Buy: Trigger ability when you buy me. (Simplifying some descriptions)
New character: Princess of Ys. 6/4 Level 3 Good Royal Monster. When you cast Great Wave I get +1/1. Slay: +2/1 and next turn, your shop always contains an additional Great Wave.
New character: Odette, Swan Queen. 7/3 Level 3, Neutral Royal Animal. Slay: Do once: Cast Revealing The True You on the lowest level character in your next shop. Quest: I Moonbathe 3 fights.
New character: Tick-Tock Croc. 8/4 Level 4 Evil Animal. Hidden: Have Captain Hook. Quest: My clock ticks 60 times. When any character dies, my clock ticks. Slay: My clock ticks 15 times. Dying Breath: Summon my clock.
New character: Tick-Tock Clock. 5/5 Level 4 Neutral Furniture. Quest: I tick 60 times. When any character dies, I tick twice.
New character: Sir Percival. 20/20 Level 5 Good Royal. Hidden: Have 3 Quest characters. Increase the treasure level of your un-upgraded Quest characters by 1 for every 4 Quests you completed. Quest: I see you start a fight with a board full of Quest characters (cannot be repeated).
New character: Sir Lancelot. 30/30 Level 6 Good Royal. Quest: I deal 100 damage to other characters (once per fight). When you complete my Quest, increase the goal by 900.
New treasure: Forbidden Grimoire. Level 2. Your Monster Charm and Spellbook items gain the stats themselves instead of giving to their wearer.
New spell: Welcome to Neverland! 3 gold, 1 mana Level 4. Hidden: Your shop has a 10 attack buff. Get a random character from the shop with double their permanent stats.
New item: Broken Magnifying Glass. 3/0 Level 3, 3 gold. Entrance: I get your hero attack times 1/0.
New item: Magnifying Glass. 3/0 Level 4, 4 gold. Entrance: I get your hero attack times 2/0.
New item: Sherlock's Magnifying Glass. 6/1 Level 6, 5 gold, 1 mana. Entrance: I get your hero attack times 2/1.
New item: Golden Crown. 3/3 Level 5, 4 gold, 1 mana. Hidden: You have completed 1 Quest. I have +3/3 for every Quest you completed.
New item: Cabbage. 2/2 level 4 2 gold. Hidden: Have a Farmer. My Wearer has 20% Preserve. After 2 fights I expire.

New character: The Rock. 3/12 Level 4 Neutral Furniture. Iron Will. Hidden: You are Sisyphus. Dying Breath: Sisyphus also triggers when you tie this fight. Quest: Lose or tie 3 fights.

Bug: the new golden puff

The puff that gives your shop a cheap unit. He was producing shops with about 70 units. Roughly 20 would be zero cost so you could buy and sell and get 20 extra gold each round. I had synergy but surely it wasn't working as intended. I was async so had the time to look through all 70 units but you would eun out of time if playing live. Learn to code, br0...

Sunbathing

The sunbathing ability is supposed to activate if a spot has sunlight, but how do i tell which spot that is? as i cant see anything different about the spots that would indicate sunlight?

The game’s visuals have become a major downside. The art style feels inconsistent, with contributions from multiple artists that don’t blend seamlessly, resulting in a disorganized and visually distracting experience. The quality of effects like 3Dish elements and UI in general feels cheap and unpolished, which only amplifies the disjointedness.

Visually, the game comes across as chaotic—a mix of styles that don’t complement each other, making it look more like a Frankenstein of ideas rather than a cohesive design. Unfortunately, with each update, it seems to stray further from an appealing aesthetic, and it’s reached the point where I can no longer enjoy it. I’ve decided to drop the game, for now at least, as its current look undermines the experience for me.
