I always wanted to know from others who played the game about its ending..... So I played it twice, once I thought I played it wrong and got a really bad ending.... Then I thought I did something wrong and maybe next time it will be different, so I played again a few years later. I reached mission 18 and I killed all 3 scientists, after that the game just jumps to the main menu. Was that the final mission?

Judging by the store page description, it is primarily a tactical/combat-focused RPG with some management elements? Do I understand correctly that there are no branching dialogues or non-combat skills or story-related choices?
