Demo Feedback

Really cool demo, I enjoyed the mystery, focus on puzzles and the voice actor did a great job. Just a few things: 1. The cutscene with the therapist has huge framerate issues that went up to the single digit. Everything else was fine for the most part. Don’t Be Afraid 2 Review: Solid, But Not Flawless

A tense horror escape-room experience with strong atmosphere.

Atmosphere & Visuals:
The decaying mansion oozes dread, blending surreal visuals and clever lighting to keep you uneasy. Sound design shines—whispers and creaks amplify the tension.

Gameplay & Puzzles:
Challenging environmental puzzles reward observation, but some solutions feel overly cryptic. Mechanics are functional, though interactions occasionally little clunky

Story & Pacing:
The psychological narrative tackles personal demons, but pacing drags in later acts. Lore notes add depth and the emotional beats land hard.

Mixed Bag:
While immersive, reliance on genre tropes (jumpscares, abandoned halls) makes scares predictable.

Verdict: 7.5/10 – A worthy play for horror fans craving puzzles and mood. Best enjoyed with tempered expectations. 🕯️

Hidden achievement.

Wonder if anyone can help. I have all achievements bar two. (The cat-astrophe) and the final hidden achievement. I've played through three times now and can't figure it out. My only thought was arranging the word cards in the therapist room, but there's so many different outcomes i simply can't be bothered to do them all. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help....

Don't Be Afraid 2 definitely surprised me. While many seem to prefer the first game's raw horror, I found this sequel to be a significant improvement. The higher production values are immediately noticeable, with better graphics and sound design.

Yes, there are more puzzles, and the horror takes a bit of a backseat. But I personally enjoyed the change of pace. The puzzles were engaging, and the atmosphere was still unsettling enough to keep me invested. If you're looking for a pure horror experience, this might not be for you. However, if you appreciate a well-crafted puzzle-adventure with a creepy vibe, give it a shot. I liked it better than the first one.

Pretty darn good. Obviously doesn't beat the first game, but well worth it none the less. Adult David, adult puzzles.
