Hot Rod Racer is now available for release! This arcade racer score based game was originally released on the Nintendo Wii U eShop in 2016. This new version includes new game modes, a new VS mode as well as new Vehicles and Upgrades to checkout out and unlock!

Gameplay

Choose a Game Mode, Vehicle, Upgrade and Start Your Engine!
Fire Rockets and Lasers to knock down obstacles and other vehicles in your way.
Unlock new vehicles and upgrades to upgrade your play style.
See if you can reach top spot on the Leaderboards!

Versus Mode

Pick a Buddy and Race them!
Use 2 Controllers or play with a single Keyboard.
All the same Modes, Vehicles & Upgrades as the Single Player experience.
Will you be victorious?

Post Next Fest Demo Updated

New Demo update is now available, this includes the following changes:

FPS fix for higher frame rate devices.
Red Barrel graphic changed to help show it's a danger compared to the other helpful blue/red barrels.
Helpful Tip additions.

Ready for Steam Next Fest!

The Demo for Steam Next Fest is fully ready to be played and enjoyed! Fully updated and ready to launch, the demo will show off the game, its single player and two player versus mode as well as the 1st 15 upgrades to be earned as a tease.

This game is a remake of the Nintendo Wii U eShop version, with improvements all around, including new vehicles, game modes, upgrades, a two player versus mode and more!

Hot Rod Racer will fully launch on November 18th, 2024 for $1.99 USD. There will be a 40% discount for the game at launch.

Steam Deck Compatibility

Game is officially supported with Steam Deck Notes: Please only use the Native Linux version of the game and disable any Proton Compatibility setting (found under Properties). Proton does not work well with the game, so you must use the normal Linux version....
