it seems no matter what setting i put it on it lags all the time when a battle breaks out. any ideas why or how to fix it?

Ok i was wondering if this game got abandoned by the developers, it seems to me KW2 failed so they all left it and started working on Medival kingdom wars, which is a shame because i liked the setting and the world of this game, i know this game is abandoned by the players, but i check it from time to time to see if a new campaign been released, i suggest if they don't want to work on it anymore make it free to play so we can have people to play with online even if the game is buggy, i never got to try pvp...
