In 1999 it won me over with it graphics. The easy and responsive interface makes combat a breeze.
But it is the cinematics of the battles that enthral me.
The ability to select any ship and watch the battle from its point of view. Watch the battle from a cruiser, join a bomber as it makes a run against a mothership.
You set up a skirmish and get ready for eyepopping battles. Pure Eye candy. plays well on any hardware.
I have been playing the Complex Evo mod for the past 10 years.
Homeworld is unique nothing has replaced it.
Like all fans I live for and fear the day that Homeworld Catcalysm is re-released. The beast still gives me the creeps.

Amazing visuals that still look wonderful in 2024. Absolutely amazing with HDR and OLED! Good fun gameplay.
