Listen up

We've spent the last few days diving into all of your feedback from last weekend's playtest.
Your comments and ideas have been heard loud and clear!We know that you love the train and fighting for conductor, but that a large number of new passengers are struggling to get the hang of core mechanics and how/why they should move forward.
We tried some fixes for these issues with new breaching mechanics and safe zone turrets (yes... those turrets).
It is clear, from your feedback, that we need more solid solutions to teaching new players the game, while moving experienced players up the train and giving newer players a chance to get established in the lower classes.

On top of that, we had some server instability and bugs that disrupted the gameplay for many players.

When you join our playtests, we understand your time is precious and that you want to see your feedback addressed. So we're digging into all your suggestions and working on some more robust solutions to these issues.

To get this right, we will be putting our weekend playtests on a short pause and opening up our shorter Friday "experimental" playtests to all players.

Internal Playtest 27th of June from 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM (BST)

This will be temporary, you should expect to see weekend playtests return in July!

If all goes well, we might even be able to make the jump to true 24hr weekend playtests in late July/early August!

Your insights, feedback, and ideas are essential to us building Enginefall together, and we can't wait to see you all back on the train next month.

Revolution, Explosions, and New Opportunities: A New Era Begins!Life on the train will never be the same. The foundations of power are shaking, the gears of survival are turning once more, and every passenger now faces a new destiny. Get ready for the most disruptive and ambitious update yet.

Revolution Ignites
Every Contract Station, found in every airlock, now holds the power to ignite a train-wide revolution. For just 2500 credits, you can start the Revolution Contract, becoming the Revolution Leader and triggering a full-scale standoff.

All passengers are called to arms: join the Revolutionaries or side with the Conductors as a Protector.
Conductors automatically join the Protectors.
Not ready to pick a side? You can ignore the revolution... but the train might not ignore you.
Revolutionaries win if the Revolution Leader becomes a Conductor.
Protectors win if the Leader runs out of lives.
Players in each faction are marked with unique icons next to their nameplates.

Only one revolution can happen at a time, but the right one can flip everything on its head.

Crafting Reimagined: Create, Recycle, Master
The crafting system is back, and better:

You can now craft items without needing blueprint copies.
Tier 1 and Tier 2 weapons and basic gear are craftable with no restrictions (if you know the blueprints).
Tier 3 and Tier 4 weapons require crafting components.
Blueprints can still be purchased and researched for parts, and research remains item-specific.
Components are gained by recycling parts at public or private recyclers.
Parts also drop naturally from mining activities.

Your creativity now has the tools it deserves.

Fuel Cores: Powerful, Unstable, Essential
There's a new objective in the race to escape: Fuel Cores.

They’re now the only item required to extract.
They can only be crafted in the Engine Control Room using Fuel Core Generators:
- One is free but slow.
- The other is fast, but costs 5 Exotic Isotopes.
Fuel Cores are radioactive and explode after 10 minutes once picked up.
A 30-second warning beep will alert you before detonation.
The only way to stop the explosion? Extract them in time.

And yes, you can still escape the train during the Enginefall phase without a Fuel Core… if you’re bold enough.

XP and Battlepass Overhaul
Progression is now fully tied to XP:

Every level-up grants you points to invest in battlepass unlocks.
XP gain has been rebalanced to reflect this new system.

Every moment matters. Every point counts.
Player Mute
Need some peace? You can now mute individual players directly from the leaderboard in the game menu. Stay focused, your way.
Rally your crew, choose your side, and jump in. The revolution awaits.

why am i playing this?

This game gives me no reason to play? There is no guide to tell me what to do, nor a reason why i want to do it? I can just run around killing people over and over. The melee combat needs tons work. Why is there a karma system? it doesnt do anything. Why am i running to the front? Why can people build bases in front of main train doors?
