I've played most of the Far Cry series and it has become obvious that they are no longer trying to improve the game mechanics. The harder difficulty settings do not create any different game play. It basically just makes your guns do less damage and makes the NPCs never miss. They can even shoot through trees which is totally awesome. Trash.

I'm serious, this is the first game I've quit playing in a long time. This is basically a PSA to not buy Far Cry 7. I have 37~ hours logged on steam. Probably 20 of them are AFK hours because I would get pissed off at how bad the game was, and leave it open while I went to go do housework. Seriously, Far Cry 2, which came out when these peoples' grandparents were the coders made a better more functional game. That had soul. Everything in this game is just anti-fun. The dialogue. The convoluted weapon system. The objective for every mission being 1500m away. The spongey ass soldiers that all have a type and weakness like it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Pokemon. ♥♥♥♥ you Ubisoft.

Far Cry 6 is a wild ride through the vibrant island of Yara, blending chaotic gunfights, quirky sidekicks (shoutout to Guapo the alligator), and over-the-top revolution. While some details feel a bit off and the ending disappoints, the sheer fun of flamethrowers, roosters, and explosive mayhem makes it worth the trip. Not perfect, but definitely a blast!
