Endless mode enemy bug

The enemies in endless mode in my game refuse to spawn, I have tried restarting from the pause menu that doesn't work I've even tried to reboot the game and it still isn't working so how can I get this fixed because it's weird that almost immediately as I'm playing endless mode the enemies bug out and as far as I can tell I can't play that mode at all until I can find a fix....

Endless mode is AWFUL

I loved the Campaign and the main game but the endless mode is just one long, boring grind that offers way too little rewards for the repetitiveness you have to go through. Creating your own maze stinks as well, it'll take months of grinding before you can build a decent maze that covers the map. Just beat the main game and move on. These guys have no clue how to create an engaging endless mode....

How? I'm literally playing it on Easy and no matter what I do, bro never dies. I had fully upgraded motor, towers and whatever the gun ones are and bro just swims through.
