Can I do like the past games, take over a team, immediately resign, and just sit back and watch the AI games while unemployed, then stay unemployed?

Even with the recent update, timeouts still don't work.

Hi, Yesterday i created new save and started playing, played few months, saved and exited the game. Today i enter the game, load the save and it's starting from the start of the season, but results of the games (that are now in the future) are as they were played?! And then when the time comes to play those games i simulate them and new result is now written in the schedule (but next games that were player yesterday, and are still not played today still have score from yesterday)?!
