Frostvale - Update 0.7 (New Biome)

This is the month of Frostvale, an entirely new biome! It's the biggest update so far and introduces the winter-themed realm, where you'll encounter new ice-cold Units, Locations, Environments, and Music. There's more, including a new Beginner Difficulty. Read more below 👇

New biome - Frostvale

Frostvale is a harsh land of ice, mountains, and brutal creatures. Only the toughest survive here.

🆕 With the addition of our fourth biome, the map generator has been updated to keep runs fresh and exciting. Each run now features three randomly selected biomes, leaving one biome unused. This ensures consistent world sizes while making every experience unique. Additionally, biomes will only include units native to their environment, though all units remain available for your use.

🆕 To make starting easier, we’ve added Beginner difficulty, where the Buckle Up effect is reduced from 10% to 2% increase per stack, letting new players explore and learn at their own pace.

[h5]Damage Type Multipliers System (preview)[/h5]
🧊 Added Damage Type Multipliers System, which introduces resistances and vulnerabilities
🧊 Added arrow up, down, and exclamation point icons next to damage numbers for hits affected by the increased, reduced, or critical damage.
🧊 Currently only used by the new Ice Dragon and Ice Golem units, with plans to be expanded in future updates

Thoughts after playing the demo

I just finished taking all three altars in the demo. It was quite fun! There's a good game brewing here. I ran into a couple issues I posted in the tech support thread but overall things went pretty smoothly. I lost a few attempts before winning mostly due to getting my bearings on units and such. Once to a relic site that I didn't understand that killed my units. My composition for all three dragons was the same, I mostly just refreshed the same units. 5 Lizard Warriors up front 2 Hobgoblins behind them,...

Update 0.6.51 (New Events, Status Icons)

🆕 3 new field events added: Shattered Crucibles, Heat-Hungry Stones, and Croak for Power.
🆕 New unit available in one of these events!
🆕 The "Expand the World" feature now includes events. Events mentioned above need to be unlocked through the Expand menu.
🆕 New skills for Undertaker and Giant Bat.
🆕 Squad bonuses (synergies) now display instantly when moving a unit, rather than waiting for the fight to begin. Removed "Battle Begins" from affected units' descriptions.
🆕 Unit status effect icons (Stun, Poison, etc.) are now visible.

♻️ Reaper adjustment: Increased attack range (1 → 2) but reduced base damage (50 → 30) for better alignment with the giant scythe.

🪱 Fixed shields not being applied for new armies on hard difficulty.
🪱 Fixed spells UI remaining active after battle.
🪱 Fixed Abyssynth targeting friendly units when they are further away than enemies.

⏩ Improved offscreen army performance.
⏩ Reduced max unit count in enemy armies (though all tiles can still be filled, just not exclusively with the smallest units).

Update notes for 0.6.41

Selling units:
- Drag a unit over Barracks to sell it for 33% of its value (no less than 1)

QoL:
- Clicking on an enemy that's not rotated towards the player army will now enter 'prepare to battle' when the animation is finished
- Clicking on the same field that the player's army is currently moving towards won't cancel the move anymore
- Spells are faded if they can't be cast or replaced at the moment

Balance changes:
1. Artifacts power (in %, common/rare/epic/legendary)
- AmuletOfCohesiveness: 20/30/40/50 -> 20/30/45/60
- AmuletOfHorde: 15/20/25/30 -> 20/24/27/30
- RitualMask: 15/20/25/30 -> 20/24/27/30
- ShockwaveHammer: 6/10/15/20 -> 10/15/20/25 and slightly bigger shockwave size
2. Units stats
- Cyclops: Health 420 -> 450
- Lacodon: Health 390 -> 400
- Abyssynth: Delay between attacks reduced by 0.4 seconds, gold and exp value increased 23/22 -> 24
3. Achievement
- Change the buffs needed for Buff Guy achievement 5 -> 4

Other:
- Unit stats UI is now rendered in a proper size since 1st frame
- Optimize unit stats/range preview (especially in the final fight)
- Fix the army selection showing the incorrect gold amount for the central army
- Update the refresh button and unit position plane color every time the gold value is changed
- Replace Kando's music with a new track (the previous one was causing some issues on YouTube)

Goblin Village

Looking for the spoiler for activating a Goblin Village. I tried putting as many goblins as I could on the tile. I also cleared all the goblins off adjacent tiles. Not sure what else to try.

Gold set to negative value after relic upgrade

After upgrading a relic, my remaining gold was set to a negative value. I believe the number is correct for what I should have left (although I can't be sure), but it's negative instead of positive. Demo version if that matters

Saving during a game????

I dont see this function in the game and that is a serious problem to me. I hope you consider adding this in the future as I wont play this game until that function is there. Just my opinion.
