In my experience this appears to be nothing more than a money grab since it seems most developers use Patreon for making money. They then release an EA game on Steam usually with promises of grandiose updates / future content just to milk some extra money. And then nothing happens. The latter happened here. I was one of the first supporters on Patreon. He updated the game regularly, every 2 month or so, but after releasing it on Steam, Patreon decided to ban his account without further explanation, losing almost all his monthly income. He said it was impossible for him to continue with the project, abandoning it. Sad cos' I really enjoyed it (especially Melina). It's all on his Discord server....
