2024.11.12：Recent Progress and Update Preview

In the past two months, I have been optimizing the content and features of the game, but the current game is not suitable for updates. Moreover, Unity6 was released last month, and upgrading the engine to Unity6 will be helpful for the performance of the game and multiplayer game development. Therefore, I have also spent some time preparing for the engine upgrade. I plan to release a major update in December.
Recently, I have mainly done these things:
1. Added prone function, AI will also prone and shoot when far away from the target.

2. Rework the scene, improve game performance.
3. Developed some shaders, improve the rendering of characters, and achieved high-performance large-scale dynamic grassland effect.

4. Added an assault rifle.
5. Optimized the handling of the vehicle.
6. Other mechanism optimizations, such as: the damage of grenades will be blocked by walls, remove the suppression effect, and the accuracy of AI throwing grenades will be reduced.
What I will do before the December update:
1. Upgrade the game engine to Unity6.
2. Develop multiplayer Co-op mode based on LAN.
3. Add special skills based on the original Touhou Project setting for the existing 2-3 characters in the game, including special animation.

2024.7.16: The game has been fixed, How to correctly switch to alpha version

The game has been fixed. At the same time, two beta versions will be added, one based on a version that is one to two months earlier than the current version, which can be directly switched to play. One is based on the 2022 alpha and has early version gameplay, but switching to alpha versions requires changing the settings file, otherwise the game cannot start normally. Here are the specific methods:
1. Before switching to the alpha version, locate the \ E.E.R.I.E2-Data \ StreamingAssets \ Settings.txt file in the game directory, back up and delete this file.
2. Switching to alpha version, as a missing Settings. txt file has been detected, Steam will automatically download the alpha version Settings. txt file.
3. Before switching back to the latest version, move the previously backed up latest version Settings. txt file back and overwrite the alpha version Settings. txt file.

2024.7.14 Update: Enhanced anti aliasing, foregrip

Update content:
1. The anti aliasing has been enhanced, with the addition of FXAA and 8X MSAA, resulting in a reduced sense of aliasing on the screen.
2. Adding foregrip, can be purchased at the vending machines of the main campaigns. Currently, only the foregrip for Picatinny rails is available, and the foregrip for MLOK will be added in future accessory updates. The foregrip currently does not have actual functionality.
3. Increase the damage and damage range of rocket weapons (AT4 and RPG26).

2024.6.16 update: V1.00 release version, Workshop support

V1.00 version update content
1. New accessories: Three silencers can reduce the range of gunshot sound.
2. Skeleton Model Update: The current skeleton has a female humanoid shell and softer animation.
3. Weapon modification system improvement: In the weapon modification window, you can see the performance changes that accessories bring to the weapon, and you can also fold the stock of the weapon.
4. Workshop Support: Can create characters, costumes, maps E.E.R.I.E2. The development toolkit and tutorials are still being developed. Currently, I have uploaded a test map that I made myself in the Workshop.
5. New title screen.
6. Model improvement of AR15 stocks。
Future plan
1. Workshop development toolkit and tutorials will be completed within a week.
2. This month, some weapons and accessories will be added.
3. The first DLC will release a trailer video after determining the theme during production preparation.

2024.5.20 update: V0.99 beta version, complete campaign

Version V0.99 has updated a lot of content, including completely redone scenes, new weapon accessories, new mechanisms, and more. The most important of them is the complete campaign, as well as 6 achievements. This version was originally planned as the V1.0, but because I wanted to introduce an important feature in advance, I decided to wait for this feature to be completed before releasing it as the
V1.0.
The E.E.R.I.E series bundle has been launched, including two games: E.E.R.I.E and E.E.R.I.E 2, with a discount of 20%.

2024.2.9 update: Character improvements, new weapons, maps, upcoming V1.0

1、Character Model Improvement: All characters now have a complete body model.

2、New items: Two new weapons, SVU sniper rifle and M1014 semi-auto shotgun, as well as accessories such as PSO-1 sight, have been added. More gun flashlights and M870 accessories have been added.

3、New UI and trading system: Fixed the issue of UI being too small at high resolution, Weapon modification has become a window, with the addition of map and task list windows. The game has added currency - Gensokyo Dinar, and all transactions will using Gensokyo Dinar. At present, the trading and inventory lack sound effects, which will be add in the 1.0 version.

4：The 1.0 version of E.E.R.I.E2 will be released in April 2024, along with the release of the E.E.R.I.E series bundle.
