Get the SLARPG soundtrack on vinyl and CD!

Just in time for the holidays, the physical editions of the Super Lesbian Animal RPG soundtrack by Beatrix Quinn are in stock at Turtle Pals Tapes!

The main event is the two-disc vinyl LP set[www.turtlepalstapes.com], which features a curated selection of 40 fan favorite tracks from across the game pressed to a pair of pride-themed translucent splatter vinyls. The front and back covers and the four side labels also feature original art by SLARPG creator Bobby Schroeder! (hey wait that's me)

Alternatively, we also have the soundtrack on CD[www.turtlepalstapes.com], which features the complete 75-track OST split across two discs!

Orders of either version also come with a free SLARPG keychain with Melody and Allison on it. It's cute.

The Steam Autumn Sale is here! Naturally, we've put SLARPG on sale for the occasion. But this also means it's time to nominate games for the 2023 Steam Awards!

If you'd like to throw us a nomination, you can pick whatever category you think is best, but we're personally suggesting the Outstanding Story-Rich Game award. This has been a very stacked year for releases, so the competition will be fierce, but it'd be very cool to be up for consideration!

It's been a bit since we had a larger patch with a variety of fixes! Thank you to everyone who's reported these issues.

Skill changes:

Melody's lower level Woodland Paladin spell, Woodland Healing, has been reworked and buffed. Rather than scaling with Melody's Magic stat, it now heals for a flat 20% of the target's max HP every turn for four turns. For most builds, this should be a notable buff. It should also no longer make a damage sound when the healing is applied. And, while I was at it, I threw in a new version of the healing spell animation that displays the Woodland spec's symbol.

Music fixes:

Returning to the Sapphire Coast early in Act II and fighting the enemies there should no longer cause the Basement Dungeon music to play afterwards.
Exiting the Neon Labyrinth while the dungeon remains incomplete will now no longer make the Neon Labyrinth battle theme play for battles in the desert.
Exiting the Flurry Mountains and returning should no longer cause the incorrect battle music to play in the area.

Other fixes:

On the Hiking Trail, Melody's sprite will no longer disappear for the slightly different version of the scene that plays if the party is defeated by the Hole Hound. (The fact that it took me so long to receive a bug report on this goes to show how rare it is for people to see that dialogue lmao)
The KO status no longer displays a popup when removed, mainly in an effort to deal with rare cases where the popup was remaining on the screen after the battle.
On a related note, there's no longer a popup for the Guard status being removed at the end of the turn. Both of these were probably unnecessary visual clutter.
Addressed an error in Act IV where Melody could retain the original version of a spell after learning its upgraded replacement. Changing Melody's paladin specialization via the method unlocked at that point in the story should now properly remove the old spell from her skill list.
Other minor fixes.

This is a small update mainly designed to fix one thing!

Fixed a very specific, previously unheard of soft lock in the final dungeon that could occur due to warping out of floor 4F during a certain section in the middle of the puzzle sequence. There's now a computer terminal near the room's entrance that can be used to reset the puzzle.
Also, minor typo fixes.

Time for another small update with several tweaks and bug fixes!

Jodie is no longer added to the party at level 1 on Easy Mode. (This was one of those bugs that took me months to hear about because everyone thought it was intentional. Oops!)
Fixed certain party members being added to the party with low MP under certain conditions.
Throughout the Neon Labyrinth, paths leading off-screen have been made more clear at a glance. Exit paths have been lengthened by one tile, and paths going left and right now have arrow signs on the walls.
The Astral Plane door in Greenridge should now appear for all players by Act IV, regardless of any other progress conditions relating to the Astral Plane. (For real this time.)
Other minor fixes.

Hi again, everyone! It's been a bit. This latest patch might not be the most substantial update to date, but there's definitely some good stuff in here.

Improvements

The enemies fought alone with Melody throughout early Act I now no longer have a 3% chance to dodge attacks.
The Genuine Snake Oil Bottle Charm now grants full immunity to common Poison statuses. (Previously, it was labeled as granting 75% immunity while erroneously only granting 25% immunity.)
The path to the Astral Plane door in Greenridge will now always be unblocked by Act IV, regardless of whether or not the player has visited the Astral Plane previously.
The puzzle in the second half of the Flurry Mountains that first introduces switch runes has been made easier. A tiny "puzzle" was also added before it to try and better illustrate how the switch runes work before throwing players into the deep end.
A certain instance of a song title being shown has been updated to reflect the title used in the OST.

Bug fixes

Fixed a bug that in some instances would cause the area title card for the Neon Labyrinth to remain on the screen.
Fixed an out of date, crossed out mugshot for Nef being used in one spot under specific circumstances.
Fixed a certain temporary ally being added to the party at level 1 when playing on Easy Mode.
Other minor tweaks and fixes (typos, minor collision errors, etc.)

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! (And also happy birthday to our composer Bee!!!) What better day than today to put out the latest patch with some more tweaks and bug fixes?

v1.1.3 Changes

For players with Additional Guidance mode toggled on, hint arrows pointing towards the keys have been added to The Anomaly.
Mobile Hole Hounds will no longer drop the Cardboard Box item.
After multiple reports of people thinking they had gotten stuck after finding the I.D. badges in the Neon Labyrinth, interacting with either the door OR the badge scanner will now unlock the door to the end of the dungeon.
Corrected a couple dialogue logic errors relating to checks for whether or not the Resolute Paladin side quest had been finished.
Additional modifications have been made to the parts of the third party "Effectus" anti-lag script that were causing occasional crashes when bumping into enemies.
Other minor tweaks and fixes.

No big patch notes post this time! This is a small late night update made exclusively to further address issues with the "Effectus" third party script following today's main update. Hopefully this will mitigate things a bit more for players running into that crash.

Happy Friday, and happy one month anniversary to SLARPG! Can you believe it's already been a whole month? I can't. How time flies...

While not as large as the v1.1 update the other week, v1.1.1 features some important additions, tweaks, and fixes!

Additions:

Added an area map for Greenridge (and the Hiking Trail), purchasable from Sherry and Joy's shop from Act II onwards. Between this and the three added in v1.1, all outdoor areas now have maps for the Quest Log!

Balance changes:

The damage dealt by Allison's directional attacks when hitting weak points has been buffed 10-25% across the board for most normal enemies, and several enemies that lacked directional weakness now have them.
Fire spells now have a chance to remove the Damp state, and water spells now have a chance to remove Burns. The Damp state also no longer gives fire resistance.

Other tweaks:

A fix has been attempted for the Effectus third party script error that causes the game to crash when bumping into enemies on rare occasion. Due to the rarity of the crash it's hard to say if this will stick, but it's worth a shot!
Fixed the wording of the message that appears when either Melody or Allison attempts a kiss while the other is KO'd.
Fixed an error in the Neon Labyrinth where the party would be left with the incorrect sprites after fighting a Color Wheel in a certain room of the dungeon.
Fixed the player being able to warp to the Astral Plane during a certain side quest where it should have been disabled.
Fixed the introductory scene for The Crypt playing again upon reentry under specific circumstances.
Other minor fixes.
