My wife and I continue to work our way through the Wadjet Eye Games back catalog, and Resonance was another solid entry by the masters of the point-n-click adventure game genre. Resonance does a great job of coming up with a reasonably plausible scientific idea and running with the potential consequences of it, and it made for a really compelling story, especially leading up to the climactic moment at the end of the game's central "act". I think most Wadjet Eye games have at least one moment that has made my wife scream out loud in shock, and Resonance actually managed that on a couple of occasions!

I do have to dock Resonance a couple points for a handful of puzzles that weren't very intuitive and led us to checking a walkthrough. Where some of their other games do a good job of offering progressively specific hints, Resonance would've really benefitted from this, especially because the long-term and short-term memory system led to an overabundance of possibilities. While this only happened a couple of times, it was especially vexing because we had spent so much time testing *so many* other possibilities, especially when those possibilities could just as easily be leveraged into providing more specific pushes in the right direction.

Overall, Resonance is a really enjoyable game with a fantastic narrative. Perhaps the best evidence I can give to that end is that we completed it in one day, staying up until 4 in the morning to finish the game's final chapter after the aforementioned climax. (That might've contributed to missing a particular tiny keypad for 40+ minutes.) I think the game's narrative is compelling enough to help push the player to overcome the rough edges, and I think both novices and veterans of the adventure game genre will enjoy it quite a bit.
