This game has a lot of promise in theory, but it's so bare right now that I can't really recommend it. I normally don't mind early access games that grow as they release (I played 7DTD after all), but in the current landscape of EA and survival games, I think they need to come out swinging if they want good uptake. This game has relatively polished mechanics; combat is good, though repetitive; traversal is fine; key registration and other in-game mechanics all feel pretty good. The problem is that there isn't really anything to do.

The progression in the game is both ridiculous and artificially stunted. All of the schematics you need to upgrade things are bought at an NPC, so the only thing holding you back is money. Well money is pretty easy to get from that same NPC by doing little mini quests. Those quests are extremely boring and mostly easy though, so you can really just skip the entire progression tree. My brother and I played this for ~8 hours and completed the entire progression tree without making anything better than bronze, and then ultimately steel to get the final material. So we went Basic > Leather > Copper > Bronze > Steel > Ambrosia, skipping iron entirely. And this was only for tools. We didn't even make weapons and armor past leather becaue there's nothing to threaten you anywhere. Sure the enemies hit hard, but they're easy to kill or avoid.

Overall, this game has potential, but there's nothing there now. I picked it up for $10 on sale, and at that price it was a pretty good way to spend an evening or three. But after those 3 evenings, you'll likely relegate this to the dusty shelves of your library, never to be launched again.

I liked the game at first. Yeah it lacks some content but its not finished so that didn't matter much to me. especially for the price :). Since the last update though... instead of adding more content ex. you disabled my ability to travel faster in the sky. What a shame. I honestly don't even want to play it now. Yeah sure i can use speed potions but whats the point of taking away a faster way of traveling while flying?...... O yeah to get more game hours out of us for now good reason. F*** you!!

So far its a fun game

Palworld without the pals set in kinda sorta Greece, needs a ton of work to warrant purchasing. In its current state it is a good concept and nothing much more.

This game doesn't have tons to it but it most definitely has a lot of charm and will keep you busy as they build it up further. There are a lot of bad reviews but its mostly from insufferable people who love to be negative. They leave no healthy criticism. I don't know why these types of games brings those people around but I digress.
In less than 2 days I already played 20 hours. While this game doesn't have too much, it has plenty to keep you hooked and wanting for more. Would I say this game is worth buying, Yes with the caveat that if you have spare money. Wishlist it at the very least. In my opinion, most people would enjoy.

PROS-
- It has a nice cycle of tasks you have to do but it never gets boring.
-Amazing voice acting. Not sure who's doing it but its perfection.
- Challenging but not so much you get frustrated
- One of the most amazing starting areas to a game I have found.
- Visuals are stunning and the world is just beautiful

CONS
- Graphics can glitch through at times
- Placing a house where the ground isn't flat will have the ground come through into your house
- Animals seem a bit to sensitive to your character and runs away rather quickly however its not impossible as if you have patience like real hunting you'll get the hang of it.

So far enjoying it. Has some Quality of Life stuff that would be nice if it was added. For smelter, having 3 options on them makes it really difficult to add charcoal. I'd love to be able to just put all my ore in at once as well as the needed fuel. It's not enjoyable to just drop in ten at a time. Also, don't make me run back and forth to each machine if I need more than one item for a final craft, it's not enjoyable. Maybe just have a resource screen where I can drag stuff back and forth? Also, let me choose between my chests without having to back out.

This is so awfully generic and boring... I know I only have a few hours in but once i grinded to get off the tutorial island the quests it gave me were to collect resources....
