Finally got it on a black friday sale. Great game! Level designs are fantastic. Shame people are thumbing down cause of a Boss. It isn't justified imo. 10/10

The control of this game is fantastic, however the level design (especially in the later stages) and especially the boss design across the board leaves much to be desired. Maybe if it was the same price as Sonic Mania I would be okay with its under performance but it costing 94.95 AUD or 112.95 for the digital deluxe is outrageous!

Sonic Team can't design a decent 2D Sonic game to save their lives. Just let Taxman and Stealth do it for you.
It starts out promising.
> You've got the whole classic crew plus Amy.
> The menu and interface are evolutions of those of Mania.
> The zones are okay at first.
The game tricks you into thinking Sonic Team finally cracked the code for their own namesake mascot. But then it hits you:
> The level design is atrocious towards the end.
> The physics are another poor attempt at recreating the Genesis games' physics.
> The Spin Dash is almost worhtless (I'll take the ridiculously overpowered Spin Dash from Generations any day).
> New Super Mario Bros. called. They want their art style back. The characters look like they're made of plastic.
The game really drags on towards the end. It either should've been shorter or just better.

This ain't it, chief. Go play Sonic 3 & Knuckles for the hundred-thousandth time.
