Don't usually leave reviews but this game is both on sale, and wont launch with the whole "updating executable" thing happening. Its basically promoting a scam. 2k is making adjustments to their launcher in the coming days, and I'm hoping it somehow fixes it, but I doubt it will; Xcom Enemy Unknown hasen't been supported by the launcher for some time now. Until further fixes are made, DO NOT BUY. happy to change this if it gets fixed.

another broken game that steam is actively discounting when they know it doesn't work. gotta love launching an old game you have played multiple times over the few years you have owned it. just for it to not work because steam didnt do their job "updating executable" my ass. fix your ♥♥♥♥ or take it off the market you scammers. games great when it works btw.

Game doesnt launch, no way to fix it.

UPDATE 20/11/2024:

It does work now, but a lot of people still have this issue.
None of the potential fixes worked for me and I just tried to open the game again, expecting it to fail once more... but it worked. There was no update of any sort afaik. Really random

Got to play for 13 hours before the games just decided to stop launching. This is an Issue with several players and nothing has been done to fix it. I have fresh installed. Deleted all folders. Changed resolution. Nothing works. Thankfully I can't get a refund either. Thanks, Steam.
