Today we have deploying a new patch for MechWarrior 5: Clans - Ghost Bear Flash Storm and an Update to the Digital Collectors Content along with a hand full of fixes and PlayGo support for PlayStation 5 Version of the Game.

Update to the digital art book to include a massive new section on the Art of Ghost Bear: Flash Storm (Present for owners of the Digital Collectors Edition or the DCE upgrade)

We have more optimizations and improvements in the pipeline as well as the Modding Tools that are currently being tested internally and documented for upcoming release. Yesterday, we deployed a Hotfix to address some key issues.
Today we wanted to address an issue with the Steam Invite system.
We’ve just released an update to that Hotfix to resolve the issue.
Fixes:

• Steam invites can now be sent and received as intended.

We’re actively watching and listening for your feedback on MechWarrior 5: Clans – Ghost Bear: Flash Storm. Our goal is to address any issues as quickly as possible—so keep letting us know what you’re seeing!
Hotfix 1 went out last week to resolve a crash issue, and now we’re rolling out Hotfix 2 with more improvements to enhance your experience.

Hotfix 2 Patch Notes
General Fixes:

• Fixed an issue where Elementals would sometimes become non-responsive.
  
• Fixed a progression blocker in Mission 1 if the first jammer was destroyed before the combat scenario started.

PC Only:

• Fixed an issue when enabling DLSS, XeSS or FSR a value was being set incorrectly causing incorrect results.
  
• Fixed an issue where XeSS settings would reset after disabling it and changing DLSS or FSR settings.
  
• This patch is now live across all platforms.

Looking Ahead

We’re also working on a future patch for MW5: Clans and Ghost Bear, which will include:

• Investigating adding Elemental controls to the Battlegrid.
  
• Investigating a feature allowing the host to pause the game for all players.
  
• A major expansion to the Digital Collector’s Art Book content.

We’ve been watching your gameplay, reading your feedback, and digging into your reported issues. Thanks for taking the time to share — we’re listening and acting fast.

A few major bugs have stood out, so we’re rolling out a two-stage hotfix to address them.

HOTFIX 1 – ETA: Tonight / Early Tomorrow (May 9)

FIXED – FSR Crash
We’ve resolved a crash issue related to FSR and global illumination. The fix has been tested and confirmed, and we're planning to deploy the patch for Steam players tonight.
Until then a temporary workaround is available in your graphics options by setting Global illumination to medium

HOTFIX 2 – ETA: Mid Next Week (May 14)

IMPROVEMENT – Elementals Getting Stuck
We’ve identified and addressed an issue where Elementals could become unresponsive or stuck during missions.

We’re also collecting additional improvements for the MW5: Clans and Ghost Bear, and those will be rolling in a Update Patch

• We are investigating adding Elemental controls to the Battlegrid

These towering warriors are a symbol of Clan battlefield dominance, and now—for the first time—you’ll be fighting alongside them and against them in full gameplay form.

Lore
Like all Trueborn warriors, Elementals are the byproducts of the Clan's eugenics program that, through select breeding and genetic engineering, routinely produces the next generation of genetically superior soldiers for the Clans. And nowhere is that mastery of genetic manipulation more evident than in the hulking two to two and a half meter tall men and women bred to be the Clan's shock infantry and the iconic battle armor that shares their namesake.

As a staple of the Clan's arsenal since their debut in 1989, we had envisioned including Elementals in the base game. But we were ultimately confined to the role of cinematic appearances in the Smoke Jaguar campaign. With Ghost Bear: Flash Storm that changes.
