How do you remove stairs?

The tutorial says we can see the compatibility of something we're building, but I can't figure out where/how. When placing a building, it says "Compat." with a green square-looking button. However, pressing either the green or square buttons on my controller doesn't bring up any sort of compatibility information or whatever. It looks like fun, I didn't play the original. While this game is far more specific in its subject matter than say SimTower/Project Highrise, does MMS2 have a lot of simulation aspects (leases/services/utilities etc.) or is it more just managing the mall itself (set up stores/hire employees/make money)?...

I was a little disappointed to find that upon the purchase of Mega Mall Story 2 that it is not supported for my platform, being MacOS. It was surprised at first because the app store version for IOS works perfectly fine, apart from the slight overheating due to no proper integration. Im just writing this up in hopes that someone from Kairosoft can see this and consider it so us Apple MAC Users can Play our Favourite Mobile Games in full screen <3 Kind Regards, creeper......
