Rooster Asian Localization Demo Goes LIVE!

Hello everyone!

The all-new "Rooster" Eastern Journey Demo is now flapping its wings on Steam! 🐓✨

We've cooked up full localization for Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) and Japanese! While we're secretly brewing the grand launch date (soon™), why not time-travel to ancient China through this demo? Pro tip: Switch to Chinese for EXTRA authentic vibes - those ink-wash colours pop like fireworks!

Our game opens with the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac gathering for their annual Lunar New Year's Eve party. As Rooster, you'll meet Little Dove, a human whose life milestones provide reasons to help and make up with your Zodiac animal friends, just in time for a clean start and a happy Lunar New Year.

Make wise choices along the journey, or risk being stuck in the past forever!

Demo Feedback

I enjoyed this demo a lot! I really liked the art style and how much cultural/historical information it included about ancient China. My one complaint was the crafting puzzle in the second 'chapter' in the demo (the horse one) was not super intuitive. Some of the clues were very vague - I wish they were either more straightforward OR there were fewer tiles to choose from. Some of the clues were great (I can't remember the exact wording, but one asked for a cloth that was less slippery than silk, and the ...

Did not get past the gift basket.

I was actually excited to put it together myself but you just click the items and they fill the basket on their own. Very disappointed.

steam deck demo

this game looks so fun but I cant play the demo on the steam deck. the text is too large, it runs off the screen so i cant read or see everything. ill have to play it on pc for now
