We just encountered an instance of the game 'Search' where the alien was located near the top right corner, on the edge of the field. The beam was not able to get above the alien though. It could not reach all the way, so that player could not complete the level. We play using a controller. Maybe you could look into this?...

Very fun game overall! However, here's some honest feedback that my casual party of three players has after 4 hours of play: On the two iterations of Collect! mini game where you dodge seeds shot by tree stumps while attempting to get melons, we're constantly glitching/clipping through the ground, falling forever.
