Patch Notes

Gameplay

Updated the throwing mechanic again. The normal throw now automatically does a low-throw at short ranges, while the alternative throw is now the lob.
Turned on Aim Assist for everyone. You can disable it in Settings -> Controller.
Added a new hint to the last remaining undiscovered achievement.

Bugs

Fixed a bug where you couldn’t switch skills or items (and a few other inputs) when using a gamepad with the controller input value set to anything other than 0.
Fixed a bug where sometimes an interactable item would be invisible, or other times one would appear when its non-interactable (eg from the floor below).
Fixed an annoying camera behavior in a secret area.

Gameplay

There’s a new setting under “Gameplay” called “Tutorial” which allows you to disable the tutorial.

Bugs

Fixed a soft-lock when attempting to go to another room right as you died.
Fixed a bug where enemy attack hitboxes remained active after the enemy was defeated.
Fixed rare crash when going up a ladder.
Fixed crash if you tried to delete the “Back” button.
Fixed a bug that could cause the mutant dog to freeze in place and become unhittable after being knocked into the air.
Fixed bug that sometimes could prevent you from climbing ladders correctly.

I didn't play much and didn't like it

I got the rhythmic punch thing, but attacks felt super weak. It sucks you can't hitstun basic mooks with the punch. To attack enemies safely, I had to bait an attack and parry or dodge EVERY TIME I approached an enemy, which felt awful. You get tons of healing to deal with trades, I guess, and there are stun mechanics (that I have no idea how they work), but I wish I could just Hit a Guy. I also whiffed punches more than I expected. With how fast the game is, I wish the range on the punch was more forgiv...

Gameplay

Updated how the auto-aim works when using a controller to make it more intuitive. R-Cuff is back to doing a low-throw, and the regular throw now acts like a “lob” at short distances. The cursor now is orange and only turns red when locked on to an enemy.

Balance

Reverted a change that made the final boss’ final punch in his combo to remain on screen for longer.
Increased the stun on a regular rocket launcher direct hit 5 -> 6 and the explosion 0 -> 1. It will now always stun a big zombie (assuming it has no stun resist yet).

Bugs

Fixed a bug where teleporting to a phonebooth didn’t set it as your savepoint.
Fixed a few NPC dialogues which had typos / sentences that were cut off.
Fixed a bug where sometimes a world item would spawn more than once.

Gameplay

Updated how targeting works when throwing objects. You can now aim exactly where you want to throw an object. When using a controller, there is an extensive auto-aim system which you can control either via the right thumbstick or the L1 and R1 buttons.
Added one more ringing phone somewhere in the world..
Trash is slightly easier to kick now.
A strong punch on the rubble barriers now instantly destroys them.
Added a new hint update after trying to give “tech support” a drink 5 times.

Sound

Added a new impact landing sound when a character is knocked back or up and hits something.
Beefed up the sounds of landing a power punch and when quickstepping through enemy attacks / immediately punching right after.
Added a low pass filter on the marker sound to remove the high frequencies.

Yes/No buttons are now fully clickable.

Bugs

Fixed a bug where hitstun could cause enemy AI to break. The most common example was hitting an enemy right as they were exiting the stun state would cause them to be stuck on their stun animation while chasing.
Fixed a bug where the mobster gunners would sometimes shoot at nothing.
Fixed a crash that could sometimes happen when mobsters and zombies were fighting one another.
Fixed a bug where if starting a new game on story mode, the healing tuorial prompt would not show up when it’s supposed to.
Fixed a crash that could potentially happen when an enemy or Tino is knocked back.

Can't find the end of the demo

I beat the final boss of the game, but I cannot find the bridge I am meant to return to. Is there a map I can see?

Very promising

I really liked the demo ! Two suggestion points : 1) A map would be very appreciated 2) When I die I repop at a phonebooth and I don't remember how to go back where I died. Any possibility that we just start again the street where we die ?
