The perfect game to showcase Scandinavian folklore. I myself come from Sweden and I absolutely fell in love with this game the first time I played it and I highly reccommend giving it a try! I've seen people comment on the game that it was too cutesy in some parts of the game but that's really the point of the game. The game starts all cute and fluffy but the further you get into the game the worse the mood gets. The game has just the right amount of grim and wholesome to not let the player get booredddd. Also I just wanna point out how cute Lemus is <3. Great job Dimfrost Studio!

This game is wickedness distilled.

At first it draws you in with what seems like a charming, whimsical adventure in the land fairies and gnomes but it doesn't take long for it to dawn you that the absolute filth you need to wade through simply overshadows the scant moments of beauty sparingly trickled throughout 'Olle's' campaign. I especially did not appreciate having to proceed through a rite of witchcraft to advance the plot. Honestly we all have our limits and drowned babies is as far as I'll go. Really, truly sickening and not in the least entertaining. Maybe it's my fault for underestimating the horror tag but it doesn't make my time in this warped wonderland any less revolting.

TL;dr 'Bramble' is a twisted, disturbingly bleak experience that for me, goes past the point of enjoyment. No thanks.

They had me in the first half, not gonna lie.
Man, this is so dark and gruesome. I loved it. Terrifying bosses, depressive landscapes and stories, this game shines when you expect it less.

The game has a green "verified" tag which it shouldn't have.
At the default low settings + 85% render resolution (looks pretty bad) the game struggles to even hold 30fps.

It's INCREDIBLY unstable, constantly throttling up and down between 20(!) and 40fps, mostly leaning towards the 30's.

If something happens ingame the surprise factor is already gone because the framerate drops into the 20's and you see it coming.

Does at least give me nostalgia to when getting a phone call made my speakers make buzzing noises before i even received the call.

Again, i'm sure it's a good game, but this negative review is purely for the deceptive Steam Deck verified status.
(For reference, Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't have the verified tag, yet runs at a stable 35~40fps on a mix of settings, 50~55 on low)

Excellent game, I genuinly love the time and effort that was put into this. The contrast between the whimsical light environments and the darker more evil regions is executed very well, as well as the eye to detail regarding natural elements.

Because the rest is so good the clunky, somewhat unnatural, movements of the character bothered me more than it should, but it might be a design choice.

Dark. Fun. Artistically beautiful. Little bit janky and too much player agro at times.

A fantastic narrative experience. The gameplay and technical aspects are not perfect, and too often, you will die due to issues with objects and platforms. That said, the atmosphere, narrative, visuals, and music were amazing—definitely folk dark-fairytale horror done right.
