Before I get too deep in my feelings: Very charming match 3 gameplay that I enjoy, music is a vibe. I had fun meeting the cast and every match I played, and art style makes for a super comfy world.

Now then...

I was very surprised to roll credits, it felt like I had just gotten done meeting all the characters and having a hook set up that felt like it would be the overarching mystery.

The game encourages you to stick around post credits for character bonding (a strange choice to move all the routes there), but I was pretty bummed to see the matches take a huge dive in frequency and become more of a visual novel. Story mode is the only space where you can play against opponents with all your spells, and going from "every character intro ends in a match" to "only encountered one match in 4-5 character events" was a bummer.

(Doesn't help that I was eyeing two characters to potentially romance and neither of them count for the smooch achievement, which makes me think it won't work out.)

Still, it's a small team and I applaud their efforts. A fun little bite, but don't expect a meal out of it.
