Says she's shy, just sits there and doesnt move. Thoughts?

I got to the right zone and started the encounter against the Tree of Silence after not moving for a while. Once the battle start, I don' know what to do. I tried waiting in the battle menu and I tried defending but nothing works.

So I finished the game but I think I am missing this weapon.. Anyone has any idea where it is?

So first off, let me say thank you for making this game. I enjoyed it for what it is...mostly. As far as the title goes, I beat the game twice and have about 36 hours total playtime between two playthroughs. Just wanted to say as far as New Game plus goes, I think it kind of defeats the purpose of the "general idea" of New game plus to make the player have to go back and regain all of the equipment that they got when they initially beat the game. Especially when some of the minigames were not that fun :( ...
