Aircraft performance

Anyone else notice that acceleration is very sluggish on the spitfires? Flying level, you hardly build up speed, making it hard to recover from a near-stall at low altitude by flying level. Also, they're either not agile enough, or the me110 is too agile - I was near-stalled in a turning battle with one earlier and the thing was keeping up with me, both in turning circle but also with regards stall speed. "A Better Gunnery Tool"

At the outset, I've been thinking that the target and aiming system needs clarification. Then I've been reading the forum and seeing that other have posted the same thing. What bothers me about the gunnery is that it's finicky with the mouse clicks. Locking a target is a chore, as the camera moves away from the target plane and shows some unhelpful angle of the player plane. I feel it's unhelpful, maybe there's a reason for the camera shift I am missing. Logical to me would be a camera move that shows...

A honest review so far

Ok devs.....I like it. As odd as the method is to aim and that will probably be looked upon in the future, this game has serious potential. I like the uncertainty of pilots fully coordinated in their actions to control the plane. Historically most of the squadrons for the RAF suffered from that issue so the level of maneuvers possible gives it realism. Meanwhile the pilots that have trained for years before hand with natural pilot ability shouldn't be squandered. AI seems to be where it should be. The ...

The concept is awesome. Controls and resolution need work, a better tutorial system and comparison of items. It's close. If you're willing to grow with the game get it now, otherwise wait for further development. I can see where this game is going and it WILL be a hit in time.

Tally ho! Day one and we've fixed a problem that a few of you had in Squadron Leader mode, and a couple of other tweaks in-between. We’re excited to announce that Scramble: Battle of Britain will be released in Early Access on October 29th. This version will feature a brand new Squadron Leader game mode where you will manage a persistent roster of pilots, each with unique traits, and engage in a battle for survival against overwhelming odds. A Skirmish mode is also available, allowing customisable quick matches where you can play as either the RAF or Luftwaffe.

Prepare to master a whole new level of tactical dogfighting!

Great game so far. I can finally have a Second World War dogfighting game where I don't actually have to be passable at flying.

The game is a lot of fun, but I wish there was a campaign. As long as one is delivered it will definitely be worth the price tag; however, unless you're really interested in this concept or the idea of fighting the Battle of Britain, then I would think twice about spending $30.

Promising dogfighting simulator. Core loop is fairly simple but really addicting. The Squadron Leader game mode is interesting but needs some work to be more compelling. Would like to see them open up the period covered so there is more variety in aircraft you can control.
