Turns out you have to press IN on the stick on the index controllers to teleport. I would have figured you'd use the touch pad or trigger or something but nope, it was the stick button. 

I was a little annoyed with these books since most of the time if I "touched it" it would start playing but then would stop the minute I took my hand away.
