A good Stardew Valley-like

The game may be a bit expensive at 20€, but when it's 10€, it's definitely worth it! It has a few flaws—the gameplay can be a bit repetitive, and the fishing mechanic is frustrating—but overall, the relationships with NPCs feel warm, the potion crafting mechanics are fun, and the small amount of farming needed to gather ingredients is enjoyable. I would recommend Potion Permit when it's priced around 10€ or at most 15€.

I'm enjoying this so far. I wasn't going to compare it to the giants of the genre like Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley, but I think that doing that actually might be helpful to players who are at least familiar with this style of game.

Pros:

Really pretty pixel graphics. I can tell a lot of time and effort went into it, and that counts for a lot in what I like in this kind of game.
GOD I am so thankful for the dog companion that can track down NPCs for you. Trying to remember where an NPC is at any given time is always such a pain in other games.
A rather large number of available side quests that can moderately keep things engaging, even when you're performing the same activities every in-game day.

Cons:

Progressing the game seems fairly railroaded without much wiggle room, which makes it feel kind of short even when it isn't. I do think that might be a plus if someone was looking to get this for a younger gamer, but older or more experienced players might be kind of disappointed how straightforward things are going to be.
The minigames get old really quick
The quest storylines for romancing an NPC are kind of... boring. There doesn't seem to be much to do once you're romanced someone other than being able to ask them on a date, which has been the same cutscene the few times I've tried it. Maybe I'm missing something that'll come in down the line, but this definitely is lacking compared to HM or SV and their romance systems.

Maybe my opinion will change by the end of the game, but I don't see much replayability in this. I do recommend it to someone looking for a kid to play, though. Seems like it would be good for that.

I really like this game! It’s a nice mix up from the farmer sim games I plays. but it still has a bit where you go out into the wild. It’s easy to get into and easy to gather resources as well

A cozy life sim that doesn't overcomplicate its core mechanics. Great to pick up for an hour or two until the loop starts to grate and, by tomorrow, you're ready to do it again.
