Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is a charming game in which the player must explore a Mediterranean Island as Alba, helping out and taking photos along the way. It was developed by Ustwo Games, the creators of the Monument Valley series of puzzle games and Assemble with Care.

Overall, it is a fantastic game. It is enjoyable, engaging, and utterly charming. It will take around 4-5 hours to complete and has a lot to offer. It boasts an adorable aesthetic, relaxing but gripping gameplay, tactful and moderate handling of hard-hitting themes such as the environment and political corruption, and delightful, immersive sound design. I had a lot of fun playing as Alba and it is easy to recommend to anyone looking for a wholesome and (mostly) easygoing experience. It can be enjoyed alone but would also be great to play with a younger family member due to its intuitive gameplay, and meaningful narrative.

Alba: A Wildlife Adventure charmed me right from the start with its cosy, heartwarming vibe. The game gently pulls you into its world of environmental care and conservation through small acts of kindness, encouraging you to clean up, help others, and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Exploring the island and snapping photos of its adorable wildlife was a joy, making the experience feel both relaxing and meaningful. The art style and overall design perfectly complement the game’s message, creating a memorable and uplifting journey.

While I did encounter a bug that cost me some progress late in the game, it didn’t take away from how much I loved this adventure. If you enjoy cosy games with a heartfelt story and a focus on nature, Alba is an absolute must-play.
