What Is Coming To 'Inertial Drift: Twilight Rivals Pack DLC'?

Set in a '90s retro future, ‘Inertial Drift: Twilight Rivals DLC’ is an arcade racer with a devastatingly unique handling model and unbelievably satisfying twin-stick drift mechanics!

• Challenge The 'Twilight Rivals' In An All-New Story Mode - When the 'Twilight Rivals' arrive on the scene they quickly establish themselves as the hardest challenge you've faced yet.
  
  
• 4 Fiercely Individual Cars - Each vehicle is a totally different beast with unique characteristics to master. Get behind the wheel and try to tame sport hatchbacks, coupes, supercars and more.
  
  
• 4 Demanding Tracks - Tear through neon city streets, race around rural temple complexes and hurtle down winding mountain passes. Mastered each track? Reverse the route and start at the finish line for an all-new experience.
  
  
• Local & Online Multiplayer - Think you've mastered the perfect drift? What better way to prove it than going head-to-head with friends both online and locally or testing your best laps with car-specific leaderboards!

We're really happy to announce today that big changes are coming to Inertial Drift - but before we get to that, we have to say a huge thank you to everyone who has shown support, bought, downloaded, wishlisted or reviewed Inertial drift.

Over the past year, we've been thinking about how we can improve and grow the overall experience and today is the first day of that journey into expanding the Inertial Drift universe.

As some of you will have noticed there are some changes to the current roster, specifically;

- The original Roton 7D is now Class B with updated handling.
- We've also added a New upgraded Roton 7D Super for Class A.

In the coming months we will release a further three upgraded cars to the roster as well. We're currently aiming to have one added to Inertial Drift every month.

Perhaps most importantly however, we have overhauled the leaderboards. From today, there are new individual Time Attack Leaderboards for each car - it's a big move and will hopefully be the groundwork Inertial Drift needed to make this part of the game more compelling and competitive - allowing you to prove your worth with each individual car against other players globally.

Now that this groundwork has been completed - what are the next steps?

We're looking forward to rolling these out into next year, so please bear with us for more specific details on the roadmap - but they will include;

- New tracks!
- Brand new cars
- Expanded single player content.
- Visual Improvements
- And some nice surprises!

It's great to see so many of you diving into the full Inertial Drift Game and checking out everything that it has to offer (and we're seeing some seriously good times on those leaderboards 👀).

We recommend taking on Inertial Drift's gameplay modes to hone your craft before taking on other racers online. But who are we to stop you jumping online straight away?

When playing online you'll have three car classes to choose from - Class C, Class B and Class A. The Inertial Drift: Sunset Prologue will give you a small taste of what to expect from cars in the Class C and Class B category. As for Class A, well you'll have to find out for yourself...

The cars in Inertial Drift are designed to evoke classic 90’s sports cars and tech - with futuristic qualities in keeping with the 90s-retro-future setting! Now, each car comes in a choice of 8 retro-inspired colourways as well as their original liveries.

Every race location in Inertial Drift is accompanied by a bespoke soundtrack to match the environment and track type. It also changes dynamically according to what stage of the race you're in, making for an intense final sprint to the finish line!

You can also turn the soundtrack down and enjoy drifting to your favourite genre.
I guess what we're tying to say is... *EUROBEAT INTENSIFIES*

You can also tweak elements such as tyre squeal, drift gyro effects and ambience to your liking.

Swap between KPH and MPH, toggle the rear view mirror and customise your drifting experience in the gameplay settings menu. You can even invert the twin-sticks!

Finally - you can also toggle and adjust a whole host of visual effects - including framerate, brightness and motion blur.
