I can't find footage of it being played correctly online, but i can play the entire song fine with one exception so around the mid point it switches to the * * * * ** pattern, which is fine until the obstacles appear, i'm just not able to figure out what it wants so getting through it feels like a risk for now, not ideal...

So I saw a lot of cool sidescrolling section screenshots (that isn't the station) I also haven't seen the Blonde Kiryuin Satsuki who's in the game's Banner and other promotional art. I feel like Im missing out on a lot of story stuff. I've exhausted the post-song cutscenes and there really isn't anything after that. Should I beat every song in Unbeatable mode first to unlock more story stuff? Or are those screenshots are just previews of future content?...

i have about 7-8 hours on this game as of right now and managed to get A's and even S's on normal and hard difficulty songs, is that good progress? (btw pretty important to this i haven't played a single rhythm game in my entire life before this one so it probably affects my progression and skill level)...
