We have been completely blown away by your comments, especially on Twitter, where things absolutely blew up[x.com]! Kotaku, Rock Paper Shotgun and PC Games even gave us a shout out already!


Today, we're excited to let you get hands-on with our first-ever demo for the game. You’ll get a taste of things to come as you spend a weekend driving to your friend's house to play a video game, encountering hitchhikers, taking odd jobs, and keeping your vehicle running on the way. You’ll get a sneak peek into our procedurally generated world with its naturalistic pixel art, a couple of endings including a specially made main story for the demo, and an awesome but limited (for the demo) soundtrack by local indie bands Westkust and Crystal Boys!

Hey!
As some of you may know we are painfully business savvy. So with that in mind we decided to, instead of building on a game and aesthetic that sold really well; instead of making a post void 2 or something similar, we decided to make a game that's completely the opposite. A game that's slow, with muted colors, and no murdering things.

Anyway, It’s been in the works a long time (directly after post void) and we’re pretty excited to be able to reveal it now. Featuring: a procedurally generated world, a naturalistic pixel art, multiple endings, a soundtrack composed by local indie bands, and more.

You’ll embark on a journey on the road, where you’ll pick up hitchhikers with their own personalities and stories. You’ll also customize and repair your car so that you can solve the challenges of the road using a pretty (we think, at least) unique turn-based ‘combat’ system.

Hope you guys take a look at the new trailer even though it's so different from Post Void.

We're happy to announce the release of Post Void 1.4.
This version of POST VOID adds some features that were created to the recently released console release of POST VOID.

It seems this build was somehow crashing for a lot of players. We have temporarily reverted back to the older version, but will try to resolve this asap. For now, if you want to try the new version you can choose the public beta-branch to access it.

Build is now live again and should not cause crashes anymore. Sorry for the inconvenience!



POST VOID now supports gamepad controls. We're very happy how the gamepad controls ended up and worked closely with porting developer Zach Reedy who did an amazing job with them. All buttons are rebindable and the game works perfectly on the Steam Deck. (Verification on deck should soon be approved, but it works very well already)

New languages are now available in the options menu, the following languages are available:
- English
- French
- Spanish
- German
- Dutch
- Korean
- Japanese
- Traditional Chinese
- Simplified Chinese
- Arabic
- Russian

Thanks to Super Rare games for letting us use the localization for the console version for STEAM.
Extra thanks to Isla Pleasure Partridge for the Russian translation and Malek Al-R. and Montassar Ghanmi for the Arabic localization.

As an extra little feature we decided to add Monthly leaderboards to POST VOID. These will be reset at the start of every month. Looking forward to compete with everyone for the top spots every month!

This new version should run better overall as it's been optimized very well. You might, however, notice that the game will start with the tutorial again and you will need to re-apply any settings you've set in the old version, as the saves are handled differently.
Don't worry about your high-score though. As long as you've submitted to the leaderboard once, your game will load your high-score from the steam servers and set it locally. There is no way for your score to be overwritten on the main leaderboard.

Finally POST VOID is available on consoles!
Playstation 5 version will release as soon as possible. Playstation 5 users can still purchase and play the PS4 version and upgrade to free when the PS5-version releases.

We're very happy with the implementation of the controls and worked alongside Zach Reedy who developed the port of the game and did an amazing job!

There will be a new patch released soon which implements gamepad controls for the PC version!
