It just crashes when it loads and tries to connect over and over again?

Is it me or does this game have a seriously fatal flaw of requiring serious keyboard endurance. You have to type the same thing over and over and even while you're in town trying to buy and sell things requires lots of typing and I haven't discovered any shortcuts yet. i have just purchased the game and launched it. the game gets past the splash screen and then crashes with out any crash code. i have looked thru the discussions and online. its ether the server, steam support ended, or i'm having a technical issue that's not listed looking for clarification....
