I stumbled upon this game by chance. The positive review I gave is purely to encourage the developer.

That said, I couldn’t make it past the beginning of the story. It’s clear the creator is trying to lay down some impressive foreshadowing, but most of it comes off as: "the protagonist’s dad says", "the protagonist says", "someone nearby tells you", "the protagonist’s mother seems amazing but it’s all told through memories", and "rumor has it someone’s out to kill you, but you still go to school, chat with friends, and hang out like nothing’s wrong."

There’s just no sense of narrative tension. No matter how many twists and dramatic reveals might come later, this part alone might already turn a lot of people away.

Next, the protagonist’s personality just isn’t likable.
I can’t understand why they treat their dad that way — their current interactions don’t feel enough to justify the cold attitude.
It feels like a self-indulgent drama written by a 14-year-old in their rebellious phase.

The music is really nice, and that’s definitely something worth praising.
But I honestly don’t understand the point of completely redrawing everything in two different art styles… Wouldn’t it have made more sense to invest that budget elsewhere?

genuinely one of the best games i've played in a while. the story is amazing, the characters are admirable and the voice acting is superb. and all for free ? this game is genuinely a steal~
