Started playing this game recently and was having fun, but I heard there was a beta for a 2.0 version, should I swap to the beta version? I heard it makes progression faster and has more features

Ive been getting screwed on RNG my past 4 runs. A good 3 hours down the drain. AND the enemies are hp sponges, regular enemies have like 50-70 hp in stage 3 on the first loop and frustrating trap placements. Say what you guys want but I'm so done with this game now. Its not fun anymore at this point in the game....
