Roadwarden is an excellent text based game about exploration and community. It is aesthetically simple, with some basic but effective tricks and a great soundtrack, but the writing is truly phenomenal. There are lots of different paths through the peninsula, and your adventure will be different based on them. There is replay value here if you try a new "class," and want to see the other endings.

However, keep in mind that this game is pretty short. My first playthrough took about 11 hours, and my second took 9. There's a lot of reading (nothing but reading, in fact), so if you aren't down for that, this isn't the game for you.

If you can get lost in a fantasy novel, really enjoy the freedom afforded by D&D, or just really loved Choose Your Own Adventure books, this game is for you.
