If you are a long time men of war fan, do not play this game. You will be instantly let down. It's like they tried to make a CoH (arcadey) version of MoW with a focus on multiplayer. Rather than sticking to their roots, and their already highly successful formula. The soul of this series lied in the realism, the attention to detail, and the freedom to build, construct, and craft your own experience. This does not deliver on any of that. Honestly guys, digitalmindsoft and barbewire studios just does this better. Leagues better.

This review is given based on the assumption that there will be updates coming for the engine, UI and other, like the developers has now informed.

+ The campaign is well made, not the best in the series but worth of the time. I hope that there will be additional maps/campaigns in the future.
+ Good amount of vehicles compared to the previous installments (without DLC's)
+ Engine feels smooth, especially when compared to MOW:AS2. I hope that it is easily modifiable to enable new possible addons/dlc's in the future.
+ Infantry is more capable to shoot while moving

- The basic mechanisms feels a bit odd compared to the MOW:AS2. It feels a bit clunky, stiff, even while the game engine is good. Nice plus for easing up the repair
- Feels more "arcade" game currently. Buffing up a bit the health of the infantry and vehicles would be ok changes, because the time to kill currently feels a bit too fast. Understandably this would take a bit more time to make it work
- Shortcuts/quick keys are somewhat odd as default
- GUI is bad and looks like it has been made in a hurry. One good thing is that you can "snap on" some layers to each other when moving those next to each other. It would be great if it looked a bit more similar to MOW:AS2. It would be a good update to put similar actions to same "box" like it was in previous installments. It would decrease the amount of buttons which are all the time seen in the GUI.
- Overall feeling in the game is that it was released too early, maybe end game game testing wasn't successful or it was released because deadlines were hit.
- (single player) why does the AI enemies/friendlies try to always kill them selves with grenades?

TLDR: Game probably is diamond in the rough. Future updates will tell what will be the end result.
