Sandbox

Some players wanted to be able to play the sandbox mission with custom settings for the maximum number of hired employees. This parameter may change the performance of the game so instead of changing the number for everyone, we made it possible for the player to adjust it in sandbox mode.

The maximum number of employees in the Sandbox mode can be set in the range from 40 to 110.

Bug fixes:
-Fixed a bug for Steam Achievements, when progress not showing correctly

Today's patch includes fixes of some bugs.

Bug fixes:
-Fixed a bug for missing Plastic Container in the last scenario
-Fixed a bug when employees’ salary was paid again after loading game

Some players wanted to be able to play the sandbox mission earlier in the game. We still want players to learn the game while playing initial basic scenarios, before jumping into the sandbox mode. But after consideration, we moved it much earlier in the game.

Sandbox now unlocks after completing the Jack Torpedo scenario.


We wanted players to start sandbox mode with enough electricity for their base buildings.

When choosing “Starting buildings+resources” in the sandbox starting menu, we increased the initial quantities of gas and generators:

“Starting buildings+resources” normal:
Player starting gas increased: 100=>200

“Starting buildings+resources” normal+:
Player starting gas increased: 100=>300.
Player starting generators changed: 1x Small Electricity Generator => 1x Small Electricity Generator, 1x Medium Electricity Generator

“Starting buildings+resources” rich:
Player starting gas increased: 100=>300.
Player starting generators changed: 1x Small Electricity Generator => 2x Medium Electricity Generator


So far, the game was overwriting autosave each day. We wanted to give the ability to load older autosaves to the players.

The game now holds 3 autosaves for the last 3 days.


-Fixed a bug for blocked employees - when a 5-star employee worked in entertainment buildings, it sometimes resulted in blocking employees on the platform
-Fixed a bug where buildings on additional platforms sometimes would not appear after loading the game
-Fixed a sound when hovering over interactive UI elements
-Fixed a bug where the saved game was failing to load
-Fixed a bug with incorrectly saved victory conditions
-Fixed a bug of sometimes not showing star of the victory condition
-Fixed a bug where the Ghost Ship would sometimes not flash when hit
-Fixed a bug for missing icon of noise range for medium electricity generator panel
-Fixed a bug - there were different prices for some resources ordered in a Sandbox scenario

- Fixed a bug where employees would get stuck at the clinic entrance when they became sick
- Fixed a bug where the saved keyboard bindings were not loading properly at the start of the game
- Fixed a bug where loading a game in a sandbox would sometimes cause the wrong enviro to be set.
- Fixed a bug where the material used on an Advanced Chemical Plant employee outfit sometimes reflected too much light at night

North Sea

We wanted to make the game a little easier at the start so that new players have more time before they need to worry about food.

Players will start the North Sea scenario with additional 20 plain meals. So they will have 20 poor meals and 20 plain meals for their employees.

Satisfaction

This scenario has a limit to the number of workers. We did this to encourage players to employ skilled employees for the job instead of many less skilled. But a maximum of 20 workers seems to be too limiting. We are changing it to 25.

Noise

The penalty to employees' satisfaction for placing noise sensitive buildings near noise emitting one, was a bit too big. We toned it a little.

All noise penalties decreased by 25%.

Workshop
Workshop1 has a short repairing range and in order to repair buildings on other platforms using a single workshop players have to upgrade it. The technology for upgrading workshops was not available in the North Sea and Jack Torpedo scenarios. This made using other platforms more complicated than it should be. We decided to unlock it for all scenarios.
To make it more affordable in the early scenarios we also made it cheaper.

Technology for upgrading workshops, “Tools Equipped” now available in the North Sea and Jack Torpedo scenarios. Also slight decrease in price of Tools Equipped 1200->1000.

Employees technologies
Technologies which enabled better workers were quite expensive. We still believed they were worth it, but the cost upfront could discourage players from buying them. We changed the prices for those technologies to be more affordable.

Minor price decrease of almost all employees' technologies.

UI
After completing the secondary objective there was only one option in the pop up: “continue”. This made that to leave the game players had to go through the main game menu even after completing all objectives. For a smoother experience we added a button “back to menu” to the secondary objective completed popup, which will show as long as the main objective is already completed.

Added “back to menu” button to the secondary objective completed window. It is available only when the main objective of the scenario is completed.

BugFixes:
• The occurrence of disasters in Natural Disasters scenarios is now fixed. It should be more consistent and less random.
• Fixed a not working slider for events difficulty in Sandbox.
• Fixed a bug that could block players in tutorials if they run out of gas to produce electricity.
• Fixed expedition port bug, which prevented explorers from going to work.
